Once upon a time, in a far off land, there stood a mighty kingdom. The kingdom of phoenix drop. The kingdom was ruled by the stoic King Aaron and the caring Queen Aphmau. Together they ruled with a loving iron fist. The humans were happy, the werewolf's were happy, the meif'wa were happy. Every living soul within stone wall was happy. All except one stray cat. And that, is where our story begins.
This cat, who has no name, is left saddened, scared and scarred on the cold pavement of a dirty ally between the bubbling builds of the inner city. The cat had never understood the superstition regarding her blacken fur, until today, as every drop of rain seems to make her misery grow just that little bit more.
Realising that she can't stay where she is, she attempts to get up. Pain throbbing through her whole body as a result of the fall. "I thought cats were supposed to land on their feet" She thought to herself as she steadies herself onto all fours.
With little to no energy left in her aching body, she treads onwards into the night. The chip in her ear sending daggers through her spin as she walks. Soon she ends up in the sewers, trudging through the filthy and mucky waters. Luckily the cuts on her back don't reach her feet, meaning she won't get infected with everything.
After a bit more trudging, distant voices make themselves audible off the stone walls. Soon the cat manages to follow the sounds and accompanying lights. Though she has to climb up and through a grate, which she just barely fits through. She pops through the bars and rolls on the cold. Pain spiralling down her as her frail back rubs against the floor.
"Is that a cat?" One of the voices asks.
"Of course it is. Are blind as well as stupid" Another voice adds.
"Zane don't be mean to Vylad" The final voice says.
"Yes general Garroth" He retorts.
"It looks hurt" Vylad says as the cat struggles to get up. Once she does, she notices three knights, all cased in iron besides their helmets which rest on the table. She looks around to notice cells and considering how rotten this place looks, she deduces that she's made her way into the castle prison.
The blond knights approaches her, slowly. "Hey" He softly greets. "It's okay, we're not gonna hurt you"
Under any normal sustenance's the cat would have gladly accepted the warm embrace of the kind knights arms, but considering all that she had just went through, she couldn't take any chances. She sprints off between the knights legs and under the table, heading for the stairs.
"Hey stop!" Zane shouts as the cat climbs the stone stairs.
"Zane, it's just a cat. I don't think it can understand you" Vylad comments.
"It looked badly hurt. And it also stunk" Garroth says as he rejoins them. "It'll be find, I'm sure lady Katelyn can handle it"
As the cat makes her way up, the cold steps become warmer and the air becomes more, breathable. The warm glow of freshly lit fires fills the air and makes the cat feel more comfortable, despite the continuing pain from her ear and back.
Once she climbs at the top step, she's met with the lively sounds of people. She walks down the corridor and through an open door, following the noises to find. Maids cleaning and making sure there's no trace of dirt anywhere. Guards and Knights on patrols, keeping a vigilant eye out for anyone that means to do harm. The cat had made her way into the main hall.
She starts to walk forwards, hoping to not draw much attention to herself as she's still tired from everything that's happened. However as is usually the case, she doesn't get want she wants. The servants start to take notice of the cat as her foul stench and muddy foot prints are hard to ignore.
