A/N: This episode is a bit... Weird, maybe? So I went a bit crazy here as well, but I really like how it turned out. Let me know what you think!
The kids were all messing around with the instruments in the choir room waiting for Mr. Schue to arrive for their class. When Blaine walked inside, not one of them spared him a glance. That was, until he clapped his hands and started to speak a bit louder to be heard over the noise.
"Hey, guys! Guys... New Directions! New Directions! Guys! Hey!" He smiled a bit when everyone stopped talking and turned to look at him instead. "I just ran into Mr. Shue, and he's gonna be stuck in his classroom for the rest of the afternoon because of some school board inspection thing, but he still wanted us to meet so we can start working on ideas for Nationals."
"Beyoncé!" Unique was quick to suggest causing all hell to break loose as everyone started to shout their own suggestions over one another.
"This is anarchy! We can't... We can't all just shout at the same time." Blaine yelled again, causing everyone to stop what they were doing and turned to look at him. Again. "That's better. I have some ideas already. I'm thinking that the music needs to be really simple, so we can really highlight our voices. No guitars, or nothing electronic. We go with a simple piano arrangement. Which I could play."
"I'm assuming you're singing lead?" Kitty crossed her arms over her chest as she glared at him.
"Well, I am a senior, and this is my last go at it." Blaine said, as Emily scoffed.
"Oh, wow... Is like Berry never left." She said, as Blaine turned to glare at her.
"We need to win this." He protested.
"And you taking the lead is our sure way to do that?" The girl sent him a glare.
"Well, feels like North Korea up in here." Tina commented, as Blaine sighed, clearly growing annoyed.
"Okay, forget the piano. Forget all the music. We could just do, hum, a cappella, that always works."
"Déjà Warblers. Should we wear matching blazers, too?" Unique teased as Emily snorted at Blaine's offended face.
"Let's take it back... What was wrong with the guitars?" Sam asked.
"Nothing, why can't you guys just stop resisting me for a second, and just go with me?" Blaine protested.
"Okay, Blaine Jong-il." Tina scoffed as Sam laughed at the joke.
"Yes! Blaine Jong-il!"
"I am not trying to be bossy." Blaine spoke up.
"No one said anything about trying." Emily mumbled, causing Kitty to laugh.
"I am trying to give the benefit of my experience." Blaine continued despite the rude interruption. "I have won more show choir competitions than anyone in this room."
At that, Emily gasped, clearly offended, placing a hand over her heart as all the Seniors had a pretty similar reaction.
"You suck." Ryder coughed sarcastically as Blaine rolled his eyes.
"A capella is worth a shot." Jake said after a few seconds of very awkward silence. "Let's do it."
"Then you two can have fun in your little barbershop couplet while the rest of us discuss something good." Unique spoke up as Emily smirked at Blaine's childish huff.
"Fine." He said, as he collected his stuff and moved to sit at the small sofa in Mr. Schue's office. "You don't want my help then I am not gonna give it."
