"We're going to be fine," I told the shaking group, my own voice wavering. We were waiting for them, making weapons out of our clothes.
"All right, got four of them pricks coming our way," Daryl called out from his position on watch. I held the sharpened bobby-pin in my hand, not much but enough, and got ready.
"Remember to go for the eyes," I told everyone. They nodded at me and got in line.
"Then their throats." Rick finished off for me.
"Put your backs to the wall on either side of the car, now." A man called out. We waited in anticipation as we heard the footsteps surround us, making us feel more closed in than we already were.
Suddenly, after a beat of silence, a hatch opened up above us, a smoke looking bomb falling in.
"Move!" The ginger, Abraham, yelled. I felt arms around me, finding Daryl keeping me in his clutch. We coughed around the smoke, looking around before our eyes fell on each other as we tried to move the farthest away from the bomb. Daryl brought my shirt over my nose as he did the same.
Then the door opened.
"Daryl!" I screamed as I felt him get ripped away from me. I tried to claw at the person who grabbed him, getting punched in the face as a result. I fell back, clutching my now bruising eye.
Once the smoke cleared, I threw every small weapon I made to the floor in anger, walking over Maggie.
"You okay?"
"Where's Glenn?" she asked, panicked. I looked around, finding bob, Rick, Daryl, and Glenn was gone.
"They took the strongest ones here," I said heavily. Maggie and Sasha began to cry at their loved ones' losses as I fell to my knees.
"Your face!" Carl cried out, finding my swollen eyes.
"I'm fine." I shrugged him off.
"What happened?" Michonne asked.
"I was awake when they dragged Daryl away... I tried to fight back... cause I'm stupid apparently." I dryly chuckled, wincing when Sasha came over and prodded it.
"You weren't stupid. That was fear. At least they didn't kill you." Michonne commented. I nodded and gave her a tight-lipped smile, patting her hand as a stood.
"So, what do we do now?"
The others shrugged, shrinking on themselves as we waited for something to happen.
"So... you and Daryl?" Michonne asked. I raised my brow at her and scoffed.
"Now is not the time Mich," I replied. Maggie gasped and turned to us from her spot on the floor.
"No! I missed something, didn't I!" She called out. We all chuckled, a sad feeling in the air.
"Fine... I don't know what's going on with us." I announced. Everyone gave me sad smiles.
