— OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

⠀⠀⠀ ANAKIN SKYWALKER BEGAN TO LOSE HIS PATIENCE. Waiting for his Master to summon him after the older finally returns from Galu so the two can finally return to Coruscant where the Jedi Order sends them on a different mission or they would continue training.

"We can't wait forever," Anakin walked over to Padmé who was sitting on the small bed in the room the two had shared, "he is not coming to contact,"

"He is on a duty," she explained calmly, "you have to understand that he has other deeds to do,"

Anakin sighed and sat on the bed next to Padmé and she moved closer to him, putting her arms around him and gently massaging his shoulders, trying to ease his tension and attempt to make him forget about his Master for sometime. During the past two days, Anakin was worried for his Master not coming into contact ever since they were separated on Coruscant.

The young Jedi understood that Obi Wan had matters to attend to, but he was his Master — almost like a father — which is why independent missions would unsettle him. He formed a strong attachment to the older man, despite the Jedi Code forbidding any, he believed that his bond with his Master was the parental relationship he never had.

Even if Obi Wan was unaware of it, Anakin admired the man from afar, seeing him as a role model and a father figure in life despite him being a Jedi Padawan and Obi Wan a Jedi Master.

"Milada Skepsza is a strong woman," Padmé finally said after a while of comfortable silence, "her and Obi Wan will overcome the obstacles they've been put through,"

Even if she was not aware of what happened on Gala, she believed that the two will be able to fix the chaos which rages around. Padmé Amidala and Milada Skepsza met a few years ago when the royal family of Gala visited Naboo to establish a trade union and Gala offering mass import of their exotic fruits and gems to Padmé's homeworld. Naboo on the other hand, offered their endless supply of wine which is well known all over the galaxy.

After a brief introduction with the princess, the senator requested to meet with her again so she can know her better as soon enough they would be the ones negotiating and not her father. Milada was well mannered but outspoken, her powerful aura was intertwined with the calm and tranquil nature and Padmé began to associate the princess with the sea.

They talked for hours, until the sunset. Conversing on many various topics starting from foreign policies and ending with rich histories of other planets rather than their own. To Padmé, princess Milada Skepsza was everything a perfect ruler should be, thus she offered to support Gala personally once Milada becomes the queen.

Anakin was also fond of the Galacian princess. He met her recently when he went there with his Master and could finally understand why Obi Wan formed an attachment to her, despite saying the opposite. She indeed was a strong woman — a woman born to lead.

He managed to catch a talk with Milada and in the ten minutes of their private conversation, he concluded that she was far more powerful than she thinks she is, having human and Galacian blood in her veins, she was the definition of a perfect union of the species which lived in the same galaxy, ought to bring balance in the society she would soon rule.

"She is," Anakin nodded, eyes falling to the senator, "but I need to contact either one of them,"

Padmé raises her head to look at the Jedi, "you will lose time like that,"

"Then I need to go to Gala," he mumbled, gaze on the floor now and Padmé stood up, walking in front of him.

"I am coming with you," she declared and he looked up at her, shock over his features as she gently smiled down at the Jedi, offering her two hands for him to take.

Taking her hands, he stood up while she pulled him too, "it is dangerous, I can't take you all over the galaxy,"

"Gala is in the Outer Rim Territories, just like Tatooine," Padmé reasoned, "besides, I haven't seen Milada for a while,"

Anakin's arms were still around the senator, holding her close to him. He needed to help his Master but he can't risk leaving Padmé alone as his mission was to protect her. Taking her with him would put her to a possible danger too and he won't be able to forgive himself for exposing her to a greater risk. He sighed, hands dropping from her and he closed his eyes, walking past her as she followed him with her hopeful eyes.

"It is getting late, take a rest," he said and walked out of the room, not bothering to wait for her reply.

Padmé stood alone now in the middle of a small room, eyes still on the door where Anakin had disappeared. She understood his worry but she is a senator after all — her life would always be at danger for the position she holds and nothing can change it. Going to Gala meant a greater risk as the two were supposed to stay strictly on Naboo and a trip to Tatooine was done without the approval of the Jedi Order nor the Naboo's royalty. Yet, she was still hopeful that they will depart to the planet as she had never been there and missed Milada's company.

Sitting back down on the bed, she still thought of the princess. Was she in danger? Maybe it was why Obi Wan did not contact Anakin in a while. Or maybe they were busy with the mission and got too caught up in it? The endless possibilities were open to Padmé and she could only wait for Anakin to return so she can convince him to go to Gala together and if needed, assist Obi Wan Kenobi and Milada Skepsza.
