Tenzo was easily coerced into telling me the location of Danzo's little hide out.
I realize my counterpart should have known this already considering he'd supposedly been in cahoots with the man, but I didn't know it.
I wasn't let in on the whole 'let's storm Danzo's lair and kill him' mission in my dimension. I was just in charge of getting rid of the seals on his little minions.
Tenzo seemed to think I knew the information too, and was just testing him to see if he'd make a good ally or something. He'd agreed to keep my identity a secret, saying something along the lines of 'you'd be caught anyway with that shitty disguise'.
I had retorted that I'd been in Konoha a month already and no ones caught me yet. Though he'd responded by pointing at himself and giving me that 'are you dumb?' look. Which was something I could only scoff at and ignore since I had no real response to that.
I couldn't really refute the truth.
I never said I was all that good at infiltration anyway. I didn't like looking too different from my original self. I was narcissistic alright? I liked how I looked, and I disliked acting like something I'm not.
If I got caught, well then, I got caught. It wasn't really any skin off my back. I could still continue with my plans in another village anyway, I didn't have to be in Konoha. Though if I do get caught, I'd be making sure Naru-chan was well looked after before I left.
The next night I strolled into Danzo's root headquarters, which were hidden behind shoddy misdirection seals in the sewer system. Once again, I keyed myself into security seals and explored the place in the shadows.
It was a maze of tunnels that surprisingly didn't smell as bad as I'd thought they would. This part of the sewers must not be connected to the village.
I eventually found the archives and proceeded to read everything I could get my paws on. (I was wearing my onesie for comfort purposes)
I had ten shadow clones with me this time, since there was obviously a lot more here than I'd seen in Sarutobi's not so secret archives.
Danzo had obviously been doing a lot more in this village than the Hokage. Even with only 200 minions.
It was odd how much he'd actually done in comparison.
He'd taken thousands upon thousands of orphans from all over fire country, and trained them in teams before getting them to kill each other to get the strongest out of those teams. He then went further than that and used that seal on them, that only had a 50% survival rate.
From there he brainwashed each one personally so they'd lose their ability to recognize their own emotions and make them loyal.
He then ranked them from strongest to weakest, and made it so he'd only always have 200 minions by making new minions earn their place by killing older ones. He had 200 in his main army, and just under five hundred in reserve under going harsh training.
No wonder Yamato had become a shinobi. With training like that, even a talentless hick could become strong.
Sai currently did not have the name Sai, he went by the number 27, which was his current ranking amongst 200. I had only found him by his signature painting jutsu's.
I should have stopped reading when I'd found what I'd wanted, but I was curious about the things Danzo was doing behind the scenes. I wanted to know if it was worth it to kill him off or not.
Sure I knew the whole abducting children and forcing them to kill each other thing was wrong and all, but I also knew there were five million civilians in the elemental nation, and a couple thousand orphans wasn't really all that bad.
