<Smut warning ⚠️ >

I stood at the gates of my village and stared at the two men wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them.

One man had silver hair slicked back with a scythe on his back while the other wore a strange head piece with his face covered.

Hidan and Kakuzu.

"You two must be the renowned immortal duo." I said curiously as looked them both over. I knew of them of course. Considering the both of them had found legal ways to becoming immortal without angering the gods.

One worshipped Jashin to the point of fanaticism, and the other was infected with a disease that caused him to mostly be made of black chakra threads.

"Shinigami King." Kakuzu greeted politely. He even bowed. I was absolutely thrilled with the deference. I smiled in response and nodded approvingly.

"I hear you two have been asking for my jinchuuriki." I began with an amused lilt to my voice.

"Not without a proper exchange of course." Kakuzu replied as he looked at Hidan. "We have information that would prove to be to your benefit."

"A fucking warning more like." Hidan scoffed as he planted the shaft of his scythe into the ground and crossed his arms. I felt my interest pique as Kakuzu shifted nervously.

"Oh?" I hummed.

"We will give you this information, and in exchange we hope to receive all the jinchuuriki. All we require is their Bijuu, and you can take the bodies back and do what you will."

I stared at the duo in contemplation before I felt bored with their actions. I wasn't going to give away the Bijuu for anything, much less for information of all things. I needed the Bijuu to keep my kingdom running. They were the gods of my people, I couldn't just turn my back on them for something as petty as a warning.

"I'll hear your warning and see if it is worth a Bijuu." I said honestly. I wasn't going to give any Bijuu away but I was all for hearing this warning.

Hidan just growled while Kakuzu nodded to him minutely. "The gods hate you." Hidan spat.

"Indeed. That is nothing new." I sighed. There really wasn't much I could do about it, besides keeping myself alive and away from them. They were bound to their realm just as much as I was bound here.

"They're all working together to erase you. If you so much as use your soul for anything outside your body, the gods will be there to take it and shatter it." Kakuzu added monotonously.

I blinked at that and felt a shiver of fear go up my spine.

That was...quite disturbing in all honesty. I used my soul for all my revivals, and I had planned to use it to assist the new batch of Kumo residents to integrate into new bodies.

That clearly wasn't going to happen anymore. I didn't want to risk Minato either by getting him to do the transfers instead.

"I see." I said blankly as my mind began searching for new methods to make the soul transfers. I would need to speak to Minato about this. The Kumo residents would need to be patient for a few more weeks it seemed.

"They will be waiting for the time that your body grows old and you die of natural causes, or for the time you decide to switch to a younger body. You cannot escape." Kakuzu grunted out.

I looked at the man tiredly and wondered if I should just kill him. There was that whole saying about not killing the messenger and all, but the duo was really beginning to give me a head ache.
