Chapter Fourteen

Alyssa and Josh walked back to the palace in a comfortable silence earning several glares and glances in their direction.

"Can you break one of their arms for me?" Josh asked in a quiet tone.

"Why?" Alyssa asked with a small laugh.

"Well if I do it I'll get thrown in the dungeon but if you do it...you're their Queen, they can't really say anything."

Alyssa laugh genuinely and said,

"I'll think about it."

Daniel was right on Alyssa heel when they reentered the palace. Josh earned himself several disgusted glances and a few were even directed at Alyssa.

Alyssa quickly found Jordan and Victoria. Jordan was already planning a coming home ball.

"Jordan you do realize that Victoria is kinda bound to Josh, right?" Alyssa deadpanned.

"What?" He growled, and Alyssa nodded her head in the direction of Josh's ring.

Jordan picked up Victoria's hand and tried to pry the ring off.

"You can't take it off." Josh said in a business like tone. "Only I can."

"So what? You'll just keep her prisoner as a rogue?"

Josh stepped closer to Jordan is a challenging way,

"I didn't see you in that forest when Victoria was about to be killed." Josh growled and Jordan let out one of his own.

Victoria shrank back against the wall and her breathing began to quicken.

"Josh." Alyssa said with a worried tone.

Josh and Jordan continued to bicker and Victoria's eyes began to close.

"JOSH!" Alyssa roared.

Josh whipped his head around and immediately softened his look. He looked from Alyssa to Victoria and his eyes grew wide.

He rushed to Victoria's side and said,

"Alyssa call Max."

"I-I can't, Jordan took my phone a few months ago."

Josh let out a growl and shoved his phone into Alyssa's hand.

He picked Victoria up bridal style and began to run to the North Eastern corner of the territory.

Alyssa got Max on the line and he asked,

"Hey man what's up?"

"No time for any questions. Victoria needs you to come to the North East corner of Royal territory."

"Alyssa?" Max asked.

"I said no questions and don't tell anyone."

"I'm leaving now." Max said and hung up.

"If he runs in wolf form he'll be here in half an hour." Alyssa informed Josh of what he already knew.

Jordan looked at them confused until he realized they were talking about how close King Spencer's secret "hideout" is.

For years, Jordan's father looked for where King Spencer was but could never find him. Apparently it was a half an hour run to the North East. Jordan made a mental note of that.

In fifteen minutes, they all reached the edge of the pack and realization hit Alyssa like a boulder.

"I left Daniel at the house."

Jordan's eyes glazed over and then he said,

"I ordered one of the guards to look after him."

"Thank you."
