*A/N, just a warning, this chapter has some triggering topics and a violent scene.*

Alyssa and Jordan walked hand in hand back to where they were before they went hunting and Alyssa met up with Galvin saying,

"If you ever need anything at all, don't hesitate to call or come to Royal territory. You will always be welcome."

"Thanks Alyssa. I'm glad you got everything you were looking for." Galvin said quietly, almost as if he was sad.

Alyssa sent him a glance but he was already walking off.

"You ready?" Alyssa asked Jordan.

"Yes. I am just going to link my pack members and tell them to return to the territory." Jordan said right before his eyes glazed over.

Something moved in the corner of Alyssa's eye but when she turned to look at it, her senses were telling her nothing was there.

She shrugged it off and Alyssa and Jordan went back to the palace.

On arrival, Alyssa was greeted by Daniel who had grown tremendously since Alyssa last saw him.

"Mama." He cried but this tiny voice in the back of Alyssa's mind kept reminding her that Daniel was Paxton's child.

Literally the devil's child.

Despite that, Alyssa still gave the young boy a hug and said,

"I missed you."

"I missed you too mama."

Alyssa smiled at the name. Despite everything, she still wanted to be a mother.

A wave of sadness washed over her and as if Jordan could feel it he said to Daniel,

"Why don't you go find Dani? She loves to play with you."

"Okay." Daniel said before running off.

"Are you ok?" Jordan asked Alyssa quietly.

Alyssa simply nodded her head and Jordan tugged at her arm and said,

"Come on."

Alyssa followed Jordan until they came upon his mother's garden.

He led her around the garden telling her about each different flower and why his mother planted it.

Alyssa enjoyed listening to him and it took her mind off of everything else.

Everything came flooding back though when the two stumbled upon the same pond Queen Clancy had Alyssa put her hand into.

"I ain't going near that pond." Alyssa said, pulling against Jordan's grasp.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because I saw one of my worst memories when I put my hand in there."

"My mother was a seerer. She could see someone's past. Their memories. Read their thoughts. Especially their most prominent ones." Jordan explained, "When she died we put her ashes into the pond and if someone touches it, it can do the same thing my mother could do."

"So when I saw my memories it was because she was a seerer?"

"Yes....Alyssa?"

"Yeah?" Alyssa replied not taking her eyes off the pond.

"Can I, um, see yours?"

"What?" Alyssa asked unsure.

"Never mind, it was a stupid idea." Jordan said, shaking his head a little.
