All Might POV
"No need to fear because, I AM HERE"
I smiled even though I didn't know what was going to happen to these people.
We thought the league of villains was over with, but they had grown bigger.... How? They imprisoned civilians, those with and without quirks and forced them to do their bidding. These people were weak, scared, poor, and starving.
This had to be All for One's idea. He was back and I wasn't sure how to defeat him. Ever since I passed One for All to young Midoriya I have been getting weaker. I couldn't bear to tell him. How would I be able to keep his admiration if I wasn't the picture of perfection for him. What about all the other civilians who thought of me as the symbol of peace? I am failing them.
These people now, where have the pro heros been? While they were suffering? Dying? These people looked at the heroes with dead eyes. We weren't saviors to them, we were just forgoing death for a little longer.
I heard a call for help, instantly, I ran to assistance. There was one person who sought out survival, I was going to help them, whatever it takes. Leaping off of buildings I followed the sound of a voice. At first weak, but as I got closer, they must've known I was coming. Confidence and strength oozed from her calls. This person, was powerful. I finally found her, it was a woman. She was pinned under a fallen debris. Her body looked close to death, her eyes swirling with something fierce. Passion? Love? Hatred? I was shaken to my core.
"ALL MIGHT." She commanded me and I fell to my knees before her, there will be no way to save her, I think she knew this.. BUT I STILL MUST TRY.
I began to move stones but her chilling hand touched my wrist
"There is no use, I will be dying today All Might," She looked at me with such conviction, "but you need to listen to me, and listen to me you so-called symbol of peace"
I stopped moving stones and looked at this amazing woman. I knew she was in so much pain, but she wasn't phased at all. If given the option, I feel that she would've strangled me. She was so fierce, it was unnerving. Around us, heroes were rescuing others, explosions from the fighting happening around us, but in this moment, everything was paused. I hung onto every word this woman spoke to me.
"Good," she sighed, "My daughter, she was born with multiple quirks, she is here-I'm not sure where, she was taken along with another boy. I have been tracking her for years. FIND HER, All Might. Please, you're her last hope, I cannot fight any longer, and she deserved better than this place." Her tight grip on my wrist loosened with every word she spoke. With her last breath, she sighed and closed her eyes. Just like that, the fiery flame was gone.
Little did I know this death would stay with me for the rest of my years. I picked up her body from the rubble and carried her to the medical station the Pro Heroes had set up. She was gone, there was nothing we could do, but I needed more information. Who was she? Where is her daughter? Why had she been here in the first place. I searched the wreckage for days.
Even after all the dead were counted, even after life had returned back to normal after the attack. I did not find her daughter. I didn't find the boy. I didn't find out her name. It haunted me.
I need to train Midoriya how to save everyone, because I am not strong enough to do it. This time, I could not keep my promise.
-Months later-
Kai's POV
I don't remember much of when I was a child. I have small memories of a loving family, but I haven't felt that in a long time. I was taken when I was young and sold to brokers in the underground. I was used as bait, a play thing, target practice, and everything else you could think of. Stain found me, rescued me, and gave me a place to stay.
