Attack on The Camp

Kurogiri, the fog villain, warped us to this forest area. Some were handed pictures and given missions. My mission was recon, Toga had to get at least 4 people's blood, Dabi was the distraction, and the rest were to retrieve something. They didn't tell me what, which I was okay with. I noticed that none of the villain's quirks were good for long range. That was probably the biggest problem. Another problem is I haven't seen most of these people before. I didn't like working with strangers. I opened my wings and dove off the cliff. I surveyed a forest area. It was peaceful. At the farthest edge of the forest was a huge cabin. I perched myself on a tree.

I peered through the forest and I heard people screaming and laughing. It looked like they were purposely trying to scare each other. It sounded kinda fun.

"Today babygirl" Dabi scolded

I rolled my eyes and jumped from my perch. I enjoyed feeling the rushing air as I flew. I hadn't flown in the longest time. I put myself above the clouds so no one would be able to see me. I was to count how many heroes I see and get back to Dabi. I counted from another high treetop.

"Dabi there are 3 heroes here and..." I trailed off

"And?"

"Dabi, these are kids"

The radio went silent, he knew my stance. I wasn't sure what to expect. This wasn't it though.

"How many" my blood ran cold, this was not something I signed up for, he wasn't going to back down.

"Kai, they're the same age as you, and look what's happened to you, you're not weak. Everyone of those brats are training to be heroes. And look at them. They need to be reformed, they need to be purged." he tried to reason,

"Dabi, I am not doing this!" my gut told me not to follow through with this. I had no plans. Dabi would either understand or he wouldn't. How dare he ask me to do this. I tore out my ear piece before he could chew me out and threw it on the ground.

I was getting ready to leave when blue flames engulfed the forest. I knew he was pissed. Then emerged the poisonous gas.

"Oh no"

I couldn't avoid the gas. I was getting weak. I couldn't fly away in time. I hid behind a rock hoping to get lower to the ground to avoid the poison. It wasn't working. Dabi wouldn't let me die here, would he? I did just ruin his plan, and probably embarrass him. Death? Like this? No. He'd find me and kill me. He had a temper. He'd make sure it was him that ended me. I was slowly losing consciousness.

I waited for blue flames to engulf me, this is how I end.  I felt unfamiliar hands on me. My heart began to race, this might've just gotten worse.

"There's someone over here! Hurry get a mask!"

A mask was put on me and suddenly I could breathe again. I opened my eyes and saw a girl standing before me. Out of seemingly thin air she created a knife and pointed it at me.

"Who are you? You don't go to UA."

What the hell could Dabi want with UA.

She pressed the knife to my body, "don't make me hurt you after I just saved you"

I felt my hand drifting towards my own knives, I tucked my wings behind me, hiding them from view. I stayed silent and stared straight at my attacker. There was no way I was going down like this. I found a willingness to fight. Behind her was a strange man wearing glasses and a smaller boy. Both were wearing masks similar to mine. UA had hope, they were smart.

Faintly I heard a familiar giggle and from behind them an attacker launched themselves at the tall boy with glasses.I wasn't sure why but my first instinct was to fling the girl away from me and hurl my knife at the attacker. It was Toga. I raised my hand and my knife came back with blood on it. She ran away cussing. 

"We need to get somewhere safe, and we need to go now." I looked at the 3 UA students and they looked back at me dumbfounded.

"We can't just follow her orders, we don't even know who she is! She could be-" the tall student with glasses started rambling

"Shut up Tenya, she saved us, that's good enough for me" she stood up and offered me her hand

Another student ran up to us.

"We need more masks, I found some more people"

He eyed me, "Who's this?"

"She's with us, she saved us, this is Tetsutetsu, and I am Momo" she pointed to herself.

"I'm Tenya, and I don't trust you" The tall one with glasses stepped forward

"Good" I stood up and flexed my wings, "Let's get to the other students and give them masks, this stuff is terrible.

With that we began to collect the others. I got strong enough to the point where I could push the gas away with my wings if I created enough wind resistance. This aided in our sight and breathing. There was only so much these masks could take.

Finally, the cabin came into view. I stopped in my tracks.

"Whats wrong?" Tenya questioned me, the others had gone to find more people, now it was only me and him.

"This is as far as i can go, these kids are safe" I knew I had to get out of there. I feared they'd blame me for the attack. I turned to leave and Tenya grabbed my hand

"Oh no you don't, you're running because you're a villain aren't you?" His eyes got dark and angry

"Tenya, I will tell you the truth" I ripped my arm away from him and got in a fighting stance

"I don't wish to hurt anyone, I came here with the villains, but I never knew what was going on. They told me nothing. I do not agree with this at all."

"Again I don't believe you" His calves fired up and he attacked me

Countering it with my wings I did a jump to avoid him. I didn't want to lie to him, I didn't want a fight. I was too weak, Before he could prepare with another strike, black mist surrounded me.

"Oh no," is all I could muster before I was whisked away back to the small bar where we had started. Only this time, Dabi was holding what can only be described as a feral, angry, hellspawn."

"Your betrayal was for nothing. We did what we came there to do. You lost."
