Reunion

Kai's POV

I ran because I knew that UA had to be the most secure place and they'd be looking for me to fly and escape. Earlier I found a vent where I could go through hopefully undetected. I crawled through tucking my wings I'd fit. I fit but just barely. I kept running and was very aware of my surroundings. I continued running when I got a ding on my new phone.

Bakugo: Where are you going?

I groaned as I heard someone struggling through the vent I just came out of. I sighed and looked to see the rat himself cursing.

"Where are you going!" He demanded.

"Yeah I got your text."

"Yeah I noticed you didn't respond" he finally made himself out of the vent and stood before me

He was a lot smaller without his suit on, he was still maybe a foot taller than me. He wore a white shirt, and grey sweats. His arms were well defined. He had no right to look that effortlessly attractive. 

"I just got it like 5 seconds ago psycho."

"I am NOT psycho." He raised his voice.

"Shut the fuck up! You'll wake people up."

"Maybe I should, you still haven't answered my question."

I sighed, "I'm going to my apartment to grab some things, go back to bed"

"Is your place close?"

"What?"

He scratched the back of his neck,

"Is your place close? How long will it take you to get there?"

He wasn't trying to come with?  What was he up to?

"If I fly maybe 20 minutes."

"I want you to send me your location."

Who the fuck does this guy think he is.

"You want me to, WHAT?" Now I was the one raising my voice

"Shut up and don't be stupid. I want to know where you are and where you're going in case you get held up. You'll get in big trouble if you're caught, and you'll be in bigger danger if you're spotted by those villains. I am the most powerful in the class, I can get you out if you get stuck"

I hated it, but he was right. I didn't calculate the risk. I wasn't really worried about it. A lot could go wrong. It would be good to have someone on the other side.

"I'm assuming you don't want me to come with you, so this is my compromise. I'll stay awake and I will give you 2 hours. " He looked at his phone, "If you're not back by 4:15, I'm coming to get you."

I was satisfied with this. 2 hours is easily enough time. 

"How do I trust that you're not gonna wake up Aizawa as soon as I leave."

"You don't." he turned to go back into the vent, "Time is ticking, 4:15 sharp, or I'm burning your apartment to the ground."

I had mixed emotions. I was irritated in giving him my location, but grateful he didn't follow me. I looked behind me occasionally to make sure he was true to his word. He was so far. I guess I lied and when I said it would take me 20 minutes but with the cloudy sky, it only took me 10 to get to my apartment. I unlocked the door and was surprised to see that it was still intact. Part of me was disappointed. My phone pinged
