I ran panting while Bakugo was behind me barking orders at me. We had been running for almost 2 miles at an intolerable pace, but if I fell behind, Bakugo out fire explosions at me feet.
"Katsuki, I really think you should rethink the whole Hero thing and become a drill sergeant or something."
"Save your breath Kai! We're almost there."
He ran ahead of me and I struggled to keep up. About 100 feet later he came to a stop and was stretching. I stopped next to him and heaved. He was sweating and panting but looked like the run had barely bothered him. He snickered at me.
"Looks like we got some work to do dumbass. It's your first day tomorrow and everyone in the class has about a semester of experience ahead of you."
He was right. I hadn't really thought about that. I felt dizzy. I needed some water. I heard some footsteps and came running was Kirishima and Kaminari.
"Hey Bakugo! Get a late start today?" Kirishima and Kaminari looked over to me,
"Uh oh, we got a new recruit?" Kaminari leaned over to me "How much do you hate your life right now?"
"Fuck off spark plug." Bakugo glared at him
Kirishima stretched and laughed, "What's next dude?"
"We're heading to the main gym right now." He walked towards UA
"Looks like you're chilling with the boys today dearest" Kaminari put his arm around my shoulder and offered me his water. I smiled and took it gratefully.
"Don't drink too much, you're going to cramp." Bakugo glared at Kaminari.
Kirshima jogged to walk in stride with Bakugo, "Take it easy man, the poor girl is dying."
The four of us arrived at the gym. Bakugo and Kirishima went straight to the mats.
"It's best to just leave them to sparring. They get pretty intense." Kaminari led me to the weights. I worked out lightly with the free weights and I heard a commotion from the mats.
Kaminari laughed, "They're fine I promise."
I walked over to the mats and the boys were in the middle of a good fight.
Bakugo kept throwing explosions at Kirishima and instead of dodging he hardened himself so he could push through. In terms of skills it would be safe to say that they were evenly matched. Bakugo fought while waiting for Kirishima to make a mistake when doing close combat. I observed them and found little holes in their technique. Close hand to hand combat was my specialty. Bakugo was able to find a slip up and nailed Kirishima in the stomach. Kirishima fell to the ground and coughed. Bakugo helped him to his feet and they laughed and smiled at each other. I caught Kirishima's eye first. He snickered and whispered something into Bakugo's ear. Bakugo didn't look pleased.
"Enjoy the show Kai?" He smiled sweetly
I crossed my arms smugly, "I coulda beaten him."
Kirishima looked at me surprised and laughed. Kaminari looked horrified.
Bakugo snorted, "yeah okay sure"
"You don't think so?" I challenged
"Oh, I know I would wipe the floor with you." He responded
"Ok. Prove it."
Kaminari and Kirishima watched with wide eyes.
Bakugo didn't look surprised, "I'm not going easy on you. And I don't deal with tears."
