7) Taehyung

Your heart had been gnawed away at by lies repeatedly told by Taehyung for these fourteen years. You were tired of lies and didn’t want to waste your mental energy on those lies.

You almost fell asleep as Taehyung was taking a shower. After his shower ended he wore his night pajama . When Taehyung lay on the bed and scooped you into his arms from your back, Taehyung surprisingly found you actually skinnier than you looked. Taehyung was concerned about your condition, but he refrained from showing too much care and only asked, “How much weight did you lose?”

“I don’t eat much as I don’t have a good appetite recently,” you replied with coldness, whose eyes were full of faint disappointment.

He didn’t notice your expression on your face. Taehyung began to kiss your back along your shoulder blade inch by inch, which was obviously one of his flirting skills, trying to sex you up.

“I am so tired, so I didn’t want to make love,” You turned to Taehyung and softly pushed him away.

Taehyung didn’t mean to have sex at the moment, because he had a lot of sex with his lovers these days. However, he was disappointed to be turned down by you, who had always been compliant and agreeable. His face darkened a little for your refusal, “You don’t miss me these days?”

Taehyung turned back to you and lay down again. He turned off the lamp on the bedside table, “I’ve got a cold. I feel tired and want to sleep. You’d better not stay up too.”

What was more, Taehyung had been out of home for so many days, he knew he didn’t stand a position to accuse you , so he turned his back to You and decided to sleep.

Your eyes were wide open in the dark. You were still suffering from the headache because of the insomnia which had lasted for more than ten days.you expected to be comforted a little by Taehyung's return; however, it only turned out to be a more torturing situation.

Your’s mother once doubted whether your relationship could last forever. How could you merely depend on love to sustain your relationship? As Taehyung's favorite, you could be easily replaced, since some characteristics which used to attract Taehyung could also be owned by others, probably by better ones. People were saying that love would soon come to an end if one party began expecting to maintain the relationship by former affection.

Leaving Taehyung was your last choice, you thought, as your gently turned around to look at Taehyung who was sound asleep. You softly put your arms around taehyung's waist, whispering, “It’s less than one year… I don’t care that you have other lovers as long as you keep them outside. I just want peace…”

Taehyung who was still in a deep sleep, instinctively held you into his arms at once, and rubbed the soft hair of yours with his face, murmuring, “…Irene…”.

The tears appeared in your eyes , dropped into the sideburns, and then immediately disappeared. It was too hard to resist Taehyung’s gentle love, even if you knew it was just a sleep talk.

It was you who was courted in the first place, and over the years it was also you who gave most for your relationship. When your business became stable, you took taehyung's advice to retire from work and stay at home to take care of Taehyung; in fact, it was because taehyung didn’t wanted you to meet other men. You had no complaint but started to learn to do housework and cook. You shares in the company were also given to Taehyunh. Now you were facing to lose your fortune as well as your love.

You even didn’t have as much money as Taehyung’s lovers had. The treatment of your illness costed you a lot. The reason that you asked for more time of consideration was because you was more afraid of revealing your poor financial situation rather than the illness itself.

“You can’t be so cruel to me…I have been never really angry with you… but if you continue to be like this, I would disappear in your life, and never return again…”

After saying that, you realized how ridiculous it was to say so. You couldn’t help wondering whether your life would be totally different if you had chosen another way of life, instead of Taehyung. Otherwise, you would have had your own friends, and a true love for the rest of your life, blessed by your family and friends. You would have had happiness like an ordinary couple have .
