Leilani walks in after my mom, I look directly at her while she just scans my room. "Wow, this room looks so different," she says in her innocent yet sweet voice. "What are you doing here?" I ask her, she flinches though and starts to back out of my room.

I guess I said that harsher than I meant to. My mom leaves the room and whispers something in Lei's ear. I get up and walk towards her she's staring at the door way, I guess she hears me because she walks out of my way to my closet.

"What are you doing here?" I ask in a more gentler voice. She looks at me with eyes I've never seen her have, guarded eyes. She clears her throat then says in a whisper like voice, "I heard you are not coming tomorrow, is it true?"

She glances at me then back at my closet. It this why she's here? She continues to walk around my room I want to know what she's thinking about. She walks over to my desk and picked up my phone and turned it around.

"I'm thinking 'why are you leaving me to go to big island without you? why huh?' It's not your fault I almost drowned. Yes, Kanoe told me. It's not your fault I almost drowned."

I looked in her eyes then at the floor, she held my hands and said, "Are you still not coming?" I shook my head and looked up I saw a tear roll down from her face. "Fine. I see. I guess I'll see you when you come over."

She walked out of my room. "Lei! Leilani, wait!" She continues to walk down the hall to the stairs, "Leilani!" She finally turns around when she gets to the stairs,

"You know, I like you. I have feelings for you. You know when you told me that you knew that I'm leaving Kamehameha it was like a stab in my heart." Tears streamed from her eyes. I grabbed her arm and hugged her. "I love you," I say in a whisper.

I release her and she smiles. Her smile says ha-I-win. I look at her, "Why are you smiling like that?"

She wipes her eyes. "Sorry," she says, "I knew you wouldn't say yes about going unless I pulled something this dramatic." She smiles her innocent sweet smile.

I back away from her. She looked at me and continued, "I meant what I said, you know." She walks over to me and hugs me, "See you at the airport!" She smiles and walks away.

"See everyone tomorrow," I hear her say in a cheery voice door stairs then I hear the door slam. "Wait!" I run down the stairs and open the door.

I run out to the street, "Please don't leave yet," and look down the sidewalk but I don't see her. Why me? I look to the sky. I turn around and see a shadow on the lawn. "Lei?"

The shadow looks up. "Is that you?" I see the shadow nod. I walk over to her and stick out my hand. She grabs it and I left her up. "What's wrong?"

She lets go of my hand and hugs me. "Okay, now I'm really worried. What's wrong?" I ask then she shakes her head and says, "I didn't think you liked me back." I look down. Oh, That's why.

She looks up to me and says, "Now I wish I really wasn't transferring schools next week." I look at her and say, "Which school did you choose?" "Punahou. It's closer." "Do you still need rides?"

She started to nod then stopped and said, "My dad got me a car." No more car rides, why would her parents do this to me?

"That's cool...I guess. What kind of car?" She sat down on the grass and took my hand and pulled me down.

"A black Lexus LFA..."

I stood back up, "What?" She looked at me and said, "I think you need to pack, so I'm gonna go home now..." "I'll walk you."

At that moment Makana walks out, "Lei, would you like a ride? I need to wash the clothes I'm bringing and Aunty Pua said I can come over and wash them." "No, I'm going to walk her home," I say immediately then I looked at her and I see she's nodding her head.

She sees me looking at her and then she says, "Sorry but my mom texted me to come home in five minutes..." "So I can take you home now." She held up her hand stopping me and then said, "She sent that text three minutes ago and I don't feel like running home. Good night and see you tomorrow."

She opens the door and slides in her car, Makana walks over to the drivers seat and before she opens it to get in she says, "We all heard you guys, you know. Didn't think Lei would grow bigger balls than you though." She smiled and then opened the door then closed it.

I walk into my house and I hear, "I hope now Kalei and Lei can finally be together," my mom says and my dad replies, "I didn't think it would be under these circumstances. Of all the things to go during their senior year." "It'll be okay," mom says, "They're stronger than we think. They're get through this. Though I'm worried Lei might find someone at Punahou."

I can't hear this. I slammed the down so they'll stop talking, which they do until I got into my room and they hear me close my door though I just sit outside my room so I can listen to them more. "They love each other, she won't leave years of love behind for some guy," dad says.

"That's what you think, honey. When I was her age I had a best friend I thought I would be with forever then we went to different colleges, we always kept in contract but when I met you. I stopped talking to him. Pua used to tell me how in love we were in high school but it met nothing when we went to different schools. We no longer had the chance to see each other anymore and we both grew apart. Pua invited him to our wedding remember he's the guy who kept telling you.."

"She's a good one hold on to her, if I realized how good she was I would of held on tighter, that's him?" I hear my mom laugh and I bet they are now kissing. What if that happens to me. No, I won't let it. I finally have her.

It's 11 pm now and I finally finished packing. What's weird is it took so long to finally pick what I'm going to wear for the flight, the shirt I choose is white with black standard print which said, C'est la Vie.
