Love at the Sea

Nine: Leilani

When I get home I go straight to my room and just lay on my bed.

Next thing I knew was it was 7 am and Makana was poking me. "Time to get up. Lets go." I get up and as Makana was walking out she looks at my outfit. "Nice, are you wearing that today?"

She looks over and I nod while yawning. She picks up my shirt and says, "I swear Kalei has the same shirt except the words aren't in calligraphy.

I looked at the shirt then her and the rolled out of bed. After I got my white tube-top and walked into the bathroom. "We're leaving in fifteen minutes!" I hear then hop into the shower. Nice hot water hits my head and it feels so good.

After my shower I walk out to my room and see Kanoe sleeping on my bed. "Kanoe, what are you doing?" He opened his eyes and said in a sleepy voice, "Why are you in a towel we are leaving soon?"

I just look at him and just shrugged. I, then, picked up my clothes then walked back into my bathroom. I close the door then I hear the shower go on, "Kai?" "Yeah?" "I'm going to change okay?"

He turns on the shower then yells, "Why can't you go in your room?"I started brushing my teeth then said, "Kanoe is sleeping in my room."

After I was done I brought my suitcase and my carry-on purse that includes my phone, portable charger, wallet, make-up bag among other things.

I walk into the kitchen and grabbed an apple, at that moment Aunty Kanani and Kalei walked into the door. Morning, I say with a mouth full of apple. "Talking with your mouthful isn't ladylike, honey,"

Aunty Kanani says, "Pua! We're here. Time to go." I tie my shoelaces and go to wash my hands. I'm all ready, I say as I spin around, "Honey, you look so cute!"

Kalei looks up from his phone, "Why are we wearing the same shirt?" I looked at his shirt and said, "I choose my outfit before I went to your house, plus I didn't know you had a shirt like this."

He nodded, "Chelsea got this shirt for me for my birthday." So that's why Chelsea wanted to go to Kam's on his birthday before we went to the beach.

I nodded and then walked up to him and said, "When did she gave that to you?" He looked up from his phone and took a step back, "She must have gave it to Derek, cause he was the one who gave it to me."

He then gave me his why-do-you-ask look. I shook my head and mouthed the word curious to him and walked around him to my luggage and rolled it out of the house.

"Need some help?" I put my luggage down and say, "Yes, please." Kalei walks around me and picks up my luggage like nothing and brings it to his family's truck.

Kainoa, at that moment, comes out of the house and is talking on the phone, "I'll call you when I get off the plane and every night, I promise. I love you, baby." He places his luggage in the back of the truck next to mines and hops in the back.

Next Kanoe comes out of the house on his phone as well, "Sweetie, I'll call you when I get off the plane and call me to let me say goodnight to KC. I love you sweetie."

After he was done he put his luggage in the back of the truck and joined Kaikoa.

Finally everyone else came out of the house and Kalei helped me get into the back of the truck and passed me my purse.

My dad then passes the rest of the luggage and hops in the back. Makana's fiance Leo comes out and to the drivers seat. Makana sits in the passenger seat and Aunty Kanani, my mom and Uncle Antonio sit in the back.

Our flight is leaving in thirty minutes, while we wait for the plane, Makana says goodbye to Leo. It's cute how our older siblings said goodbye to each other.

In the plane Kalei and I sit together, behind us is my parents.

Next to us is Makana, Kainoa and Kanoe and behind them is Makana's parents.
