Parting

Leaning back the sparkling surface of the kitchen greets me as I grin laughing cheekily this was 6 hours of cleaning and resorting since the kids are at school and no one but Kid is here today with the said redhead locked in the workroom the sound of metal and saws and blowtorches can be heard from here.

"Hey _____ I got the delivery from the porch" Drake calls carrying a rather large box in his arms his head barely above the top of the box I grin saying "Thank you Drake just sit it on the counter please" Drake nods setting the box down a soft metallic sound can be heard from inside.

Drake leaves ____ to open the box as he heads upstairs to his room he pauses outside his door hearing Hawkins mumbling loudly as Drake cracks the door open seeing his friend pace back and forth in his room. 'Should i or should I not? Tell her or don't, what will she react like? what if she doesn't agree?' Drake hears in a rambled quick mess as Hawkins paces left than right if this were a cartoon Drake believes there'd be a sizable hole in the ground from all of Hawkins pacing.

"Hey Hawkins is something bothering you?" Drake questions cautiously from the door as Hawkins turns rubbing his forehead the triangles on his head scrunched in concentration on something. "Drake i'm in a tough position and I can't ask the cards to get a good enough percentage for me to feel safe in taking the action I need too" Hawkins relents walking to his bed and sitting down dragging a hand across his face in exasperation.

"What are you trying to figure out?" Drake asks moving to sit on Hawkins desk chair facing him as Hawkins takes out his phone showing Drake the screen as he gives a sympathetic look. "Since i've been living with _____ I have neglected taking my job as the leader of my crew seriously with most of my time here or with the other supernovas" Hawkins states monotonously though Drake can see the guilt from the way the corner of his mouth was dragging when he spoke.

"So you want to take your position seriously and that means you have to join your group" Drake summarises as Hawkins nods he enjoyed being here with ______ and his parents never even bothered with him. "I feel like it's rude like I was using _____ for safety until I could be on my own" Hawkins states his tone low as Drake sighs he knew he would have to leave eventually too his job as a marine was impending and he would be forced to take more missions and jobs.

"We're not imposing on ______ or taking advantage of her kindness she choose to help us and we enjoy being here she'll understand that you have to put your crew first" Drake reassures knowing the guardian of the daycare was very lenient and respectful of others choices as long as they weren't meant to hurt someone else purposefully who didn't deserve it.

"If it helps i'll ask her for you" Drake suggests as Hawkins shakes his head not wanting to be in debted to Drake who always seemed to be there his most crucial moments wether good or bad. "No i'll tell her" Hawkins resigns himself standing and walking downstairs with Drake following behind. Hawkins pauses on the bottom step as Drake stops almost running into Hawkins the two males look at their guardian who's currently laughing a metal dog chases the metal cat around the room as Kid fist bumps _____.

"Hey Dumb and Dumber" Kid sneers at the two on the stairs as Hawkins feels his annoyance with the red head rise those two never saw eye to eye on anything. Drake could tolerate Kid to an extent however when push comes to shove Drake would love nothing more than to snap his neck.

"No" ____ says hitting Kid on the head as he whines clutching his head in pain a bruise already formed as Eustass hisses "you as bad as Garp" I give him a cold glare and he shuts up. 'His cocky attitude will never go away the least I can do is make sure he doesn't make more enemies than nescessary I pray Killer the patience to deal with Kid for as long as Kid needs him' I think as I turn to the boys smiling.
