The gods were getting rather annoyed because zeus's son hercules has made attempts at queen hippolyta multiple times getting refusal each one the goddesses have defended the amazon's stating that they don't trust men for what they had been through and hercules is a playboy who wants as many woman to satisfy him as possible

"We will hold a tournament and force her that way she will be aloud to pick a champion who will fight for her hand she can even pick herself of she doesn't wish to be married or her amazons" zeus said
