Where cross goes back in time but not in his universe.
He lands on Dreamtale, where the Apple accident hadn't happen yet.
However for some weird time travel consequence thing, he turns into a fluffy dog.
Yes a dog. A dog that would look pretty normal if you don't include his trademark scar and cape.
He meets the Apple twins and they somewhat adopt him.
(D: Just look at him! Look at that fluff! Nighty can we keep him?
N: No dream, we can't keep him even he looks like the fluffiest thing alive. Do you even know how to care for a dog?
D: Well...no. But I was hoping that you would know. You know a lot of things and read many books! Pretty please please please???
N: Ughhhhhhhhhh! Dream stop giving me the sad puppy eyes!
D: Please?? X10
N: Ok, ok. Just stop. Yes we can keep him, but I am in charge.
D: Yay! I knew you wanted to keep the fluffy dog too nighty!
N: Just what have I agreed to...
C: Woof? [What about my opinion...?] )
So the Apple twins gets the previous royal guard-turned into a dog.
The bullying still happens but cross tries to protect Nightmare.
However, what can he do against a whole village when he isn't at his best?
Also, he can't accidentally or intentionally kill people. There are children here dude!
He can still teleport, got new abilities like avoiding gravity and breaking the fourth wall.
(The other abilities he used to have can't be used as a dog.)
But most of them can't permanently end this situation or he doesn't know how to use it yet!
So the Apple accident still happens despite his great efforts.
But it's... different? (Maybe You can decide the outcome)

Some facts:
1. Cross thinks he is a guard dog but everyone thinks he is just a cute pet or a emotional support dog.
2. Cross's pride is ruined. Well, it was already ruined anyway before he became a fluffy dog. He's 30 or something and everyone is trying to pet him. (C: *Pained dog whines* )
