But then again, this whole thing is already full of spoilers...
Well, if you don't know the plot of X-tale, there might be things you don't know or understand in here.
So I suggest seeing the things up above.
where cross killed all the main monsters like in canon but then he died unlike canon where he collapsed but didn't die.
His soul shattered in pieces and somehow, one shard gets stuck in xfrisk's soul.
So when xfrisk overwrote the timeline, he appeared as a ghost to xfrisk.
However, he seemed to be not able to talk or remember everything unlike xchara who's the same when he was alive.
So the aftermath was xgaster had gone somewhere hiding,everyone remembers everything except for cross who's now a ghost maybe forever,xfrisk and xchara is in charge,and everyone's dead except for the main monsters(minus cross),xfrisk,and monster kid who lost everything in a few minutes.
('Everyone' only includes the people in x-tale)
Also, the x-event doesn't happen.
Is this a happy ending?
No, but it could be worse.
The remaining main monsters and xfrisk travel through the multiverse for xgaster to finally kill him for once and for all, while monster kid just stay in despair and fear.
He knows that sans(cross) failed stopping them, and is probably dead.
He's all alone with those mass murderers.
Well, at least they left somewhere to kill somebody else.
But if you want at a better ending for him, maybe core frisk reached out to monster kid.
facts about ghost cross:
-He cherishes his family normally cause he doesn't remember what they have done to him or what he has done to them.
-Only xfrisk and xchara can see or touch him.
-He pets or hugs xfrisk and xchara when they or he need comfort.
But he also does that sometimes even if they all are feeling okay.
-He tries to stop the mentioned two from doing something immoral or stupid.
He pulls out a disappointed frown and head shake first usually but when that doesn't work, he will use physical force.
-In this Au or something, xchara's pretty much the devil on xfrisk's shoulder, while cross is the angel.
