I am still amazed that Cross fought and won against the main monsters(Undyne,Mettaton,Asgore,Papyrus...) of his AU all at once at his bleeding and dusting state.
He had also been hurt emotionally, physically, and mentally so many times by his loved ones even before that fight.
Yet, he persisted.
And wanted his family back when his AU was destroyed by his actions.
The very same family who have betrayed and tried to kill him in cold blood multiple times.
Just- What is this man?
And why do some people want to break him down further? He's already been damaged by everything.
I don't see people torturing Horror or Uncorrupted!Nightmare often.
Cross has suffered so much in canon without a good rest yet people ignore that.
Of course, there are indeed some people who do acknowledge that properly.
But I have only seen three or four of them.
Man, I am ranting again.
Sorry.
I just seen a lot of fics that breaks a broken man further without any compensation for his sufferings.
It's not like I can stop people from writing that. Nor do I intend to.
But I want you to reconsider everything canon Cross has been through.

Doesn't this man who have been betrayed by almost everyone he met deserves true friends and family?
Ones that do not try to kill him or abandon him when he needs help?
Please. Just think about it. Even a simple thought about it is okay.
