Act 1 Scene 15: Duncan

Later that evening, they get a little lost and feel like they're not alone.
TRENT: Did you hear something whoosh?

COURTNEY: Very funny, Trent. You can't trick me.

TRENT: That wasn't me! I'm serious!
A silhouette whooses by and they notice a few pinecones and branches are gone.

COURTNEY: Okay! Okay! I'm sorry.
TRENT: Yeah, I'm sorry too.
BRIDGETTE: It smells like wolf.
GEOFF: Let's go see what that was.

COURTNEY: It looks like it's going this way. Follow me.

Duncan, now a young man, walks with a newly-adult wolf, Florian, who woofs at him.

DUNCAN: Yes, I know the magic from the South Mountain is strange, but it's made you strong, Florian.
Florian woofs.
DUNCAN: I will investigate, but I think it's time for bed.
Duncan notices the search party.

DUNCAN: Oh... people. Ya bet they have food, Florian?
Florian woofs.

GEOFF: Sir, did you say something about--

DUNCAN: Yeah, yeah, it's what my wolf pack says all the time "Duncan, you're crazy. Like Florian can speak human and you can speak wolf", go ahead, laugh.
TRENT: What?

DUNCAN: Oh, you must be new around here. My name's Duncan, and yes, I grew up with wolves. They're the only true family I've ever known. This over here is my best friend Florian. Who are you folks?
TRENT: Trent.
LINDSAY: Lindsay.

BRIDGETTE: Bridgette.

GEOFF: Geoff.

TYLER: Tyler.

COURTNEY: Courtney.
Duncan blushes when Courtney introduces herself.

TRENT: We were going to ask about the South Mountain. Did the magic make all the snow go away and more plants sprout?
DUNCAN: Yes, it did. Now I need to go to sleep.
GEOFF: We need to head up there!

DUNCAN: You know what, I might make an exception with you dawgs...

LINDSAY: As in a deal?

DUNCAN: Where are you people from?
TYLER: Nabat Bay. This forest borders it.
DUNCAN: I'll guide you to the peak.
BRIDGETTE: Thank you.

DUNCAN: We leave now.
BRIDGETTE: C-could we take Florian?
GEOFF: Yeah, we should. He'll come in handy somehow.
