Ok guys, so before I start, I just have to say this. Since it's only my second month of school, my writing schedule is in a conflict. Last time, I said I won't be seeing you after 10 months, that's because I thought I wouldn't have free time. But right now, since I finished all of my activities, I have the time to continue my story. Though it doesn't mean I will get to update this book as often as before. Probably by Christmas vacation, I will have plenty of time. Thanks for listening, and here it is.

"Rowan, whatever you do, don't go out. Hide." Rowan reluctantly nodded at his mother, fearing for their life. Slowly, Rowan ducked under the drawer and tucked his legs, reaching out his body to pull the huge wooden box in front of him in an attempt to hide himself as much as possible. Emilia couldn't be more grateful that they have a son that's obedient, knowing it will save his life. She was trying to calm herself down, trying to be optimistic as possible.

But on the back of her mind, she knew there was a possibility that they will die trying to fight them off.

She quickly shook her head off, ashamed at herself for already assuming the worst outcome. Calm down Emilia! CALM DOWN! Closing her eyes, she took a breath as she tried to calm her thumping heart down. As a breath was drawn, her heartbeat went slower, but not slow enough to be considered normal. Her mind was full of dark thoughts, and it involved themselves laying on their own pool of blood, the Savior's standing triumphant as they looked at their bodies in a mocking way. Stop! Just go to your happy place. Go to your happy place.

Between those thoughts, a small glimmer of yellow light shone. It looked like a small star starting to get stronger. Thinking of having another child, the light grew stronger as the visions of them laying on their own pool of blood was starting to drift away. Her heartbeat was starting to calm itself down as she thought of herself laying on a hospital bed, holding her child dearly in her arms and caressing her baby's head, with Rafi crying from tears of happiness. Finally, the star ignited, every space of her mind covered in absolute brightness. Realizing her mind was at ease, she took advantage of the light.

Like a canvas, a drop of paint splattered down with every crease of the paper being filled with ink. Slowly, a vision formed. There was a family of three sitting on a sunny grass field, their hair swaying along with the calm wind. On the left, there is a boy who looked peaceful staring at the sun on the horizon. Sitting beside the boy, a girl is there, her legs crisscrossed and who also looked like she's enjoying the moment. And on the right, there is a man with his arm latched onto his children's shoulders, keeping them close with him while staring up at the sky with his eyes closed. Clearly, she could see him muttering incoherent words. But she could care less. That is her vision of hope. That is what she wants.

She opened her eyes and her lips curled into a slight smile, the determination to fight filling every part of her body. She glanced at Rowan, who looked worried for her and his family. As she stepped closer and stooped her head lower at his level, she asked, "Do you have any weapon with you?" Nodding his head, he put his arm out and showed her a kitchen knife, the light shining off the steel in a deadly glint.

Satisfied, she got up and walked out of the room. Once she was out of sight, Rowan grabbed his phone from his pocket and opened the screen, planning to send an SOS to the police station who are Anti-Purge. Seeing the SOS, he quickly tapped in an effort to save their parents from fighting. Trying to calm down, he pressed record.

"My name's Rowan Wanderton. The son of Rafi and Emilia Wanderton. There are a lot of people surrounding our house and they are planning to take out their beast on us. They're wearing red cloaks and a mask. There's only 5 of us here, including me, only equipped with knives and guns which aren't enough because we are outnumbered. It's a five versus a hundred. I would appreciate it if you would come help us. We really need it. Please tell my friend, Dan Hoven, that he shouldn't be sad in case I don't make it out. That's all. I'll see you later... possibly."

Sighing, he pressed stop and send, hoping his message will reach out to someone. He dropped his phone in despair, knowing the only option is to hide and defend himself. He wanted to fight but his parents stopped him who put his safety first, making him sad at himself knowing he couldn't fight even if he wanted to.

"What's the plan Melanie? How do we fight them?" Rafi asked calmly, waiting for her instructions. Putting her thumb and index finger on her chin, she racked her brain for ideas. As she was thinking, Rafi and Emilia were looking at her, patience slowly thinning out.

"Hmm... we must be stealthy. They will cut the lights out, and we should take that opportunity to sneak on them."

"Perfect." Rafi said, twirling his gun with his finger. "Don't use a gun, it'll give away our location. A knife is better." Gaden stepped out of the room, making them wonder where he is going. Without a minute, he quickly came back with a big knife on his hand.

"Here." Gaden handed it over to him, the tip sharp enough to cause a deep stab wound. "Stay away from windows and doors, they will use that as their wa-

Suddenly, a revving sound of an engine was heard outside. They quickly turned their heads at the noise in fear, knowing the provisions have arrived. "Remember our plan, and you will be alright." Melanie assured. They quickly stood up from their spot and hid themselves, avoiding any windows and doors.

Outside, the leader was standing, disappointed by the Wandertons. "You know, it's bad that you're not punctual, Wandertons. I expected better from you! You didn't listen to the word of God! And for that, you gotta pay!"

With a chop of the hand, the truck pulled back, along with the string which was attached to the windows and doors. Suddenly, a booming sound was heard all throughout the house and lights were cut off, signifying the start of bloodshed.

To be continued...
