6 years later

"Do you have the mayonnaise, Rowan?" Rafi asked, shouting across the hallway. "Yes, Dad!" Rowan replied, putting the jar of mayonnaise in the wooden basket. Rafi nodded, satisfied with his answer.

Then, his eyes picked up a movement on the other side of the room. "How about you, Bailey? Did you prepare the sandwiches with the ham and cheese?" Bailey nodded aggressively. It wasn't long until she daydreamed about chewing the bread with ham and cheese coating every nook and crevice of her mouth, making her squeal in excitement and a little bit of drool started to come out.

Rafi looked back at her and chuckled, taking his phone out of his pocket and clicked the picture whilst hiding it behind his back. I'll show this to her when she's older. He thought, smiling. He snapped his fingers a few times, snapping Bailey out of her daydream. She glanced at Rafi, who was slightly smiling at her. "Did I do it again, uncle?" she asked, smiling shyly while scratching her head.

He nodded as he snickered gently. Before he remembered something. "Oh shoot. Quickly! Quickly! Quickly!" He commanded, with Bailey getting the idea before she hurriedly scurried off, helping Rowan with the basket. He didn't want to miss the beautiful sunset and it was only 30 minutes until the sun sets.

It took only a few minutes before Rowan and Bailey came back to him, basket ready in Rowan's hand. "Good. Let's go!" He scanned his hands on his pockets, checking if he has all the stuff he may need. Seeing all his stuff there, they all walked towards the garage, with Rowan carefully walking as he didn't want to mess up their food inside the basket.

Once they were all in the car, they carefully put down their stuff on the seats before Rafi asked, "Are you all settled?" The two of them nodded. "Great!" he twisted his car key on the keyhole and the car revved, getting prepared for the ride.

"Don't forget your seatbelts." Rafi reminded, before pushing on the brake.

10 minutes later

Rafi rid the red-and-white picnic blanket by shaking it a few times before settling it down the ground, folding its edges until they're all even. After the blanket settled down on the grass,  Rowan put the wooden basket down. Seeing that it's all prepared, Rafi invited them to sit down with him by ushering them with his hand. "Ahhhh..." Rowan groaned, stretching out his legs from the cramped car.

They all looked on the horizon, seeing the bright, orange sun starting to come down. Quickly, Rafi grabbed the plastic of sandwiches with toppings and opened it as he settled it down on the blanket. Bailey and Rowan helped him by grabbing a knife and dipping it with the condiment, spreading it all over the sandwiches as, over time, it started to fill with lettuce, mayonnaise, ham, and cheese.

They all took a bite out of each of their sandwiches, letting out a squeal of contentment. Suddenly, Rafi felt a buzzing feeling in his pocket. He grabbed his phone out and clicked accept, seeing as it was Melanie and Gaden who were traveling out of the country.

"Hey guys!" Melanie greeted all of them from the phone, before seeing their daughter having fun with them. She gasped, seeing her daughter eating a sandwich. "Oh my gosh! Bailey, are you having fun?" She asked excitedly, seeing her continuing to gobble her sandwich down. "Mhmm!" Bailey nodded aggressively while she looked like she had chubby cheeks as she was chewing her food down.

"How is it there?" Rafi asked, curious to what the culture was like there. "Oh, it's really good! I love the island hopping." Gaden answered, remembering their experience there. Before one moment caught his brain. "Oh yeah, you still haven't seen the video when were walking on the bridge at the beach, right?" Gaden exclaimed, smirking.

"Oh no." Melanie blushed red and looked away. "N-no, please, don't remind me..."

"Uhhh, so what happened?" Rafi asked, leaning his head forward as he was interested at the topic. At this point, Gaden wheezed hysterically at the other side of the ocean as Melanie was blushing up a storm. "Oh, I'll send it. Hold on." Gaden smiled, as he saw Melanie pushing herself into all of him, trying to stop him from sending it. It didn't work, as Gaden stretched his hand out in the air, looking down at her in an "innocent" way.

It wasn't long until Rafi heard a notification ring on his phone. He minimized their screen and tapped Gaden's chat box, seeing the video there. Looking at the thumbnail made him snicker, as he saw Melanie walking on those floating bridges on the water like a recently-circumcised boy.

Interested, he clicked the video.

Melanie screamed as she tripped from the moving surface while Gaden was heard in the background laughing hysterically. "Melanie?! Why are you walking like that?!" He asked in a high-pitched tone, as he tried to stop the tears from falling while he was laughing. Although he failed miserably. "Stop laughing at me!" She whined, looking back at the camera, or Gaden, with a pout. "Wait, are you- DON'T!!!" She exclaimed, walking back to him as Gaden let out another laugh wrack his body while he was trying to avoid her.

And with that, the video ended.

"Why do you walk like that though, Melanie?" Rafi teased as he continued eating his sandwich, making steam come out of her body. After a few minutes of her letting out steam, he heard a sigh on his phone before she said, "Okay. Thank you, Gaden!" she fumed sarcastically. "Alright. He destroyed my mood to call. I appreciate it, Gaden." She gave him a look of annoyance, who only looked away as he tried to hide his smile. She hissed in anger before continuing, "Hey Bailey! Enjoy the food and sleepover! We will be coming back tomorrow night! Mommy loves you! Bye!" Shortly, he heard the call end.

He sighed, giggling at their antics along with the others. Remembering the sunset, he widened his eyes as he looked across the field, the sun starting to curve down the horizon. Looking back, he also noticed that they finished eating their sandwich, enjoying the fresh wind blowing through them. Not long after, Bailey yawned.

"Are you sleepy?" Rafi asked in a gentle tone, with Bailey nodding while her eyes were starting to feel heavy. Rafi offered his hand at the both of them, waiting for them to take it. They accepted it with no hesitation as they sat beside each other, watching the sun drop down the horizon.

Rowan found it relaxing to watch the sunset and feeling the breeze brush across his body. Meanwhile, Bailey was leaning her head on her uncle's arm, sleep starting to overtake his body. And lastly, Rafi latched his left arm on the two children, keeping them safe by his arm. He really appreciated spending the time with the children by eating a picnic on a sunny grass field.

If only Emilia was here. Rafi thought, thinking of what possibility could happen if she was still here... in this world.

He looked up at the sky, trying to wonder what Emilia was doing up there. "Emilia, where are you?" he asked at no one, just staring at the sky in peace. Little did he know, Emilia's spirit was behind them, watching over them in content.

"Emilia. If only I could share this moment with you, it would be much better." He muttered, looking at the sky.

Emilia smiled, knowing she is actually enjoying the moment with the three of them.
