"Thanks for the food. Hey Emilia, can you bring me another axe later? The one I'm using is dull and I need a sharper one." Rafi stood up from his chair and started to walk to the bathroom, letting out a loud burp. "I'll start washing." Emilia looked at Melanie who also stood up and began to walk out of the room. Weirdly, she brought her filled with food half of the amount a while ago. "Wait! Aren't you gonna finish that?" Emilia asked, confused about Melanie's actions.

"I'll finish it later. I'm full." Once Melanie was out of sight, Rowan spoke up. "She does that sometimes, Mom. Though, I'm already used to it." Rowan stood up and walked to his bedroom. Shrugging, she began moving her legs and went to the basement.

Basement

The second Emilia walked in, she started coughing harshly from the dust. Trying to make it stop, she covered her mouth with her hand. "Now is maybe a good time to clean this place." She glanced towards her left, noticing a big, wooden cabinet on the side. Knowing the axe wasn't there, she looked the other way. While trying to find it, she noticed it was dark. She started to look for the light, the darkness making it hard for her. She squinted her eyes, looking harder. Finally, she noticed a piece of string dangling on the ceiling. "There you are." She walked closer, and pulled it gently.

The light from the bulb made the basement have a welcoming presence. Smiling, she began to look for the axe. She peered around every corner of the room, with no avail. Finally, she looked under the big table and found an old, dusty axe laying there. She grabbed and blew the dust away. Satisfied, she walked out and started to go to the garden.

Garden

"Rafi, here." She took out her hand, waiting for him to grab it. "Thanks." Rafi replied in gratitude. "Rafi, I need to go pick up something." Rafi looked at her way, noticing she was wearing outdoor clothes. "Where are you going? The checkpoint?" Rafi asked, hoping for her to come back as quickly as possible. "Yep. Don't worry, I won't take long. It's just 2 blocks away." She turned around and opened the fence gate. "Be careful, dear! She nodded at him and started to walk.

Streets

She began to walk around the neighborhood, the sun shining brightly. Fearing she would encounter someone weird, she paced faster. Luckily, the checkpoint was within her sight. Smiling in relief, she let her guard down and walked in a slightly slower pace.

"Good afternoon. Is there a package for me?" The woman looked at her and asked," Are you the one who ordered the plant?" Emilia nodded. The woman looked at her side and grabbed the pot of plant." Here." The woman reached out her hand and Emilia nodded." Thank you." Smiling in gratitude, she started to walk back.

She looked at the neighborhood and noticed someone sharpening their machete. Unnerved at the sight, she paid him no heed and walked faster. She put her hands in her pocket, trying to hide the fact she was nervous. "Emilia!" Familiar with that voice, she looked at her left, noticing Colleen was walking closer to her. "Hey Coll, what's up?" Both of them exchanged hugs.

"What are you doing out in the streets? You know it's dangerous." Colleen admonished, worried about her. "Sorry." Emilia looked at her neighbor, face contorting in apology. "Alright. Have you seen the news?" Emilia looked at her, having no idea what she was talking about." What news?" She asked.

"You don't know? Apparently, a group called the "Saviors" are close in this neighborhood. They save someone by ending a person's misery, and what I mean by "ending", is by killing them for the sake of ending that person's misery." What Colleen said disgusted her to the core. "Killing? That's so... ugh! They don't have the right to end someone's life." She remarked.

"I know right? Anyway, just be careful. Have a good night." Colleen turned back, going inside her house to prepare before commencement. "Say hello to your husband, Nick, for me, ok?" She shouted in request, hoping Colleen heard her. "I will!" And with that, their door shut tightly.
