"come on El let's go!" Will yelled while standing at the front door with his backpack in his hands. He had been waiting on El for a good 15 minutes now. The girl insisted she needed to change. Will didn't understand why, they were only going to a sleepover at Mikes.

El came out of her room with two shirts, the hoodie she had on before and a t-shirt that was a size too big for her— which will assumed it's was max's— "which shirt should I wear?"

Will shrugged, "I don't know. What does it matter?" he asked.

El felt her cheeks grow hot, "well both of these are max's and I want to know which one you think she would like me to wear." she didn't know why she wanted to look good for max so much, but she still found herself asking her brother what shirt he though max would like.

Will rolled his eyes,"El. It doesn't matter okay? Just put on the hoodie over the t-shirt so we can go."

Eleven ran to her room, taking her brothers suggesting. She grabbed her backpack before meeting Will at the front door. "let's go."

The two siblings were greeted by Dustin at Mike's, "Finally you guys! Everyone has been waiting on you all for ever." he let the two in before closing the door.

Will laughed, "Well El here was taking forever to get ready." Eleven stuck her tongue out at her brother.

They went downstairs to meet up with everyone else. "Happy late birthday El!" They all said in union. "Thanks guys this is gonna be so much fun." El said as she sat her bag down next to the others before sitting next to Max on the couch.

"Why don't we play truth or dare before watching a movie?" Lucas asked. The others nodded before all forming into a circle on the ground.

Dustin decided to go first, "okay, Lucas. Truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Oh come on pussy, why truth?!"

"Because I chose truth."

"you can't start the game off with a truth lucas!"

"umm yes I can?! It's called TRUTH or DARE!"

Max cleared her throat, annoyed at the two already arguing, "Just ask him a question dustin!"

Dustin scoffed but caved in, "fine. Do you still have feeling for Max?"

Max's heart dropped. The two had been on and off for a while now. But Max didn't feel the same about Lucas anymore. She for one, just felt like her and Lucas didn't have a connection. And not the mention she had recently found out she was gay. As well as starting to grow feelings for her best friend, El Hopper. She hadn't told anyone that though. She was scared that her friends wouldn't be friends with anymore if they found out she was gay.

Lucas eyed Max, acknowledging the anxiety that Max was feeling, "y-yeah." he answered.

Max then rolled her eyes at him and scoffing. Lucas decided to ignore it though, "Anyway, uh Mike truth or dare?"

"dare." the boy replied.

Lucas gave him a smirk, "I dare you to let the person of your choice to sit on you lap for the rest of the game." Lucas' intentions were to have El sit on Mikes lap, he assumed that they were soulmates seeing how they were still hanging out. However, Mike didn't say the Byers Lucas thought he was going to chose. "Okay uh- Will." Mike turned his head to look at will and gave him a smile.
