Today was the day the day.

The day the two youngest byers siblings were going to come out to their family at dinner. Dispute Joyce already knowing about El and Max's relationship, she promised not to tell anyone. She said "You tell people when you're ready, it's not My place to tell anyone El." Joyce knew will was gay. She just didn't say anything, she wanted him to come out to her when he was ready. Hopper on the other hand, is completely oblivious at the fact that his youngest kids are homosexual. He had never mentioned it, making the two scared to come out. They knew Hopper loved them dearly, they just went sure how he would react. They weren't too worried about how Jonathan would react, they knew Nancy would never date a homophobe.

They had both decided to come out at the same time, so they could support each other. Will was the one who suggested it, in all honesty, he was just scared of their reaction and knowing his sister being there by his side helped release some anxiety.

So now here the two where sitting at the dinner table trying to figure out when exactly bring up the news. "So how are you and Mike?" Hopper asked El, taking a bite of meatloaf. He had no idea they had broken up. Joyce cleared her throat "Um hop- I don't really think we should talk about Mike right no-" she stated, but was cut off by El. "Me and Mike broke up a long time ago dad." She laughed at his obliviousness. Hopper couldn't help but smile at that. He wasn't Mike's biggest fan you could say. "Speaking of dating I guess? Me and El have something important to tell you all!" Will said, causing everyone to drop their forks and focus on the two. "Okay! What is is guys?" Joyce smirked, she saw where this conversation was going.

"Well I'll start, I am not with Mike. I'm with someone else." El gave a nervous glance at everyone reactions. Will gave a reassuring nod before she continued "I'm with a girl. Max. I hope that's okay with you. I mean- she is my soulmate so there really isn't anything anyone can do about it anyway but, she makes me super happy and gives me butterflies everytime I see her. She really is amazing."

Jonathan laughed "Is that why she's been coming over so much? And why I always heard kissing noises when I went past your room?!"

El blushed in embarrassment "well you didn't have to tell everyone Jonathan!" She whined.

Hopper was crying, which suddenly caught Els attention "Dad what's wrong?" She carefully placed her hand on his arm.

"Nothing it's just, I'm so proud of you Eleven. And I'm glad you have someone to make you found someone that makes you feel that way. Just make sure she always treats you right okay? I love you-- and Max!" Hopper wrapped his arms around Eleven, giving her a light kiss on the head.

"Now-- will honey what did you want to tell us?" Joyce asked.

Will gave a nervous laugh "You see the funny thing is........ I'm with M-mike."

Johnathon spat out his drink "Will that's Els ex boyfriend!"

Eleven rolled her eyes "I don't like him though, and he makes Will happy so I don't have a problem with it."

Hopper let out a exaggerated groan "that means we still have to keep mike around!" He said causing everyone to laugh. "I'm joking, Im glad both of you are in happy relationships."

Joyce kissed Wills cheek," honey I knew you were gay the first time you layed eyes on Mike! I'm so happy you're with him-- no offence El."

El only laughed.

"Okay now that emotional train wreck is over! Can we eat now?" Hopper asked.

"Yes we can!" Joyce gave Hopper a kiss before everyone got back to eating their meatloaf and cracking jokes.

They were a happy family.
