It was now friday, Max and El found themselves watching a movie in El's bedroom. They were watching Beetlejuice, El's favorite. It was just them at the house, Will went over to Mike's, Johnathan and Nancy had a date night, Joyce was working late as well as Hopper.
Max had recently been thinking. Thinking about her relationship with El. She was happy, she loved the time she spent with El. It was obvious they were more than friends, friends don't cuddle everytime they have a sleepover, friends don't hold hands down the hallway, friends don't make out all the time. Max wanted to call El hers. I mean she was her soulmate after all.
The two were cuddling, foreheads together and arms wrapped around each other.
"El. What are we?" Max asked, eyes still on the TV.
El pulled out of Max's embrace "what do you mean?"
The red head made full eye contact now, "I mean- we aren't dating but we definitely have something. And I don't know about you but I want to call you my girlfriend. And to go on dates, share kisses. Just like everyone else. But people won't like it. If people find out they could hurt us, kill us! I don't know what I would do if I lost you." Max was teary eyed the time she was done.
El held the girls face, "I won't let anyone hurt you or me okay? I want to be with you Max. I really like you. I'm scared, I've never felt this way about a girl before but it feels really good to kiss and cuddle you all the time. You're an amazing kisser. Way better than Mike by the way. My point is, I don't care if people don't like us together. We were meant to be together Maxine! You are my soulmate and I couldn't ask for a better one." El pulled max into a tight hug. The two enjoying the warm butterflies they both still got when they made contact. They liked each other a lot.
"El."
"Yeah?"
"I think I love you."
"W-what?" El asked, pulling out of the hug giving Max a shocked face.
"Shit. That was stupid! I know it's to soon to say that, I shouldn't have said it. I'm so sorry! Just pretend like I didn't say anythi-."
"Max!" El interrupted the rambling girl.
"Y-yeah?"
Eleven pulled Max into a passionate kiss. "I love you too." She smiled before going in for another kiss.
