"Rudy?! Rudy! Come on, it's too hot to make me come looking for you," the blonde woman called as she walked out of the house, whistling for the dog but not getting a response. She bent to pick up a dog toy on the grass and was startled when Klaus and Isa appeared from nowhere.
"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you," Klaus said in a faux American accent and took everything in Isa not to laugh as she tried to make herself seem tired and out of breath.
"Can I help you?" the woman asked.
"Yeah, um, our car ran out of gas a couple of miles back. We've been walking forever, and my wife here is pregnant, and I just want to get her off her feet. Yours is the first house we've come to and I was hoping we could use your phone," Klaus asked as he shifted an acting Isa in his arms, him supporting most of her weight.
"Don't you have a cell phone?" she asked, and Klaus whipped one out of his back pocket.
"Yeah, battery died," he said holding it up.
The girl still looked sceptical, so Isa took it up a notch. She dropped all her weight on Klaus, who scooped her up into his arms as she pretended to shiver, sweat lining her brow.
"Look I promise, I'm not a serial killer. I just want to use your phone, please. I just need to make sure my wife is ok!" he said worriedly.
Seeing the state of Isa, the girl relented. "Sure."
"So, I can come in?" Klaus asked.
"No," the girl answered somewhat sassily. "I'll get the phone and I'll bring it out to you." Then she looked down to Isa. "She can come in though. Poor thing looks exhausted."
Klaus's eyes darkened as he dropped the accent completely. "I thought you country folk were supposed to be more trusting," he stated darkly.
She narrowed her eyebrows at his voice a little before clarifying, "I'm from Florida."
"Well that explains it," Isa said as she also dropped her act. She sped towards the girl, grabbing her by the hair. "Now show my husband and I a little southern hospitality," she compelled.

"I bet you $100 that, that dog ran off to a house with better air-conditioning," said a woman as she cooked on the stove, only to turn around and see Klaus holding the girl.
"Please don't be alarmed," he said. "I'm told Ray Sutton lives here."
The bronzed-skinned girl stood by the island as she said with fear in her eyes, "He's almost never here. He's on the road mostly."
"I expect he makes it home once a month," came Isa's voice as she came down a passageway and into the kitchen. The woman flinched as she looked from Isa to the blonde, a message being passed between them. "That's what I thought. Where is he now?"
"If I have to make you tell me, it's going to be infinitely more painful for you. More so if I let my lovely wife do it," Klaus warned.
Isa waved as the woman's eyes landed on her and flicked back to Klaus, whose mouth was slowly moving towards the blonde's neck.
The woman ran. She ran past Isa to the front door, and Isa let her. Because leaning on the doorframe as it opened was none other than Stefan Salvatore.
"I love it when they run," Isa said as she waltzed towards the door, Klaus and the blonde in tow who was now in tears. Isa pushed the bronzed woman into the wall.
"He's in Tulley," she cried. "It's near the border. A bar called Southern Comfort off Highway 41," she blurted as she burst into tears herself.
"Thank you, love," Klaus hummed as he moved the blonde's hair aside. "Now, may my friend come inside and play?" he asked softly.
