To distract herself from the endless scenarios of what happened to her husband that seemed to constantly be popping up in her head, Isa buried herself in the massive undertaking that was packing all their belongings. Contrary to popular belief, with how much they moved around, they seemed to only ever acquire more treasures and keepsakes than cull. And let's just say that a mansion filled with a thousand years worth of memorabilia took a little while to box up, so Isa was happy to have the distraction. Rebekah also volunteered her help, wanting to be done by the time her brother came home so they could finally blow this dump. But in the chaos that came with moving houses, they were greeted by a most unwelcome visitor.

Damon Salvatore had come tearing into their house, wanting retribution for their little stunt that got Elena killed, even though, much to their dismay, she wasn't actually dead. By some cruel twist of fate, or perhaps, some delicious irony, the delicate human that hated vampires but still fell in love with them, became the very thing she hated so much. Apparently, she'd hit her head when the Salvatores and Tyler came to rescue her from Nik before they desiccated him, and her brain began bleeding. She'd been taken to the hospital where some stupid doctor used vampire blood to heal her. Isa wasn't too caught up on the details, but she didn't care. All she knew for certain was that Elena had vampire blood in her system when she went over that bridge and now she was an eternal pain in the ass and not a human one.

Anyway, Damon had wanted revenge and had been prepared to die for it. He would have. Isa would've loved to have severed his head from his shoulders, in fact, she'd been imagining doing just that as she advanced on him but fate appeared to be on Damon's side that day as both she and Rebekah were pelted with wooden bullets to the stomach. And if that wasn't enough, large wooden arrows pierced the muscles of their hearts as their skin turned grey and they desiccated.

The two girls had no idea how much time had passed when they came to, their wrists and ankles bound tightly with vervain ropes as they were imprisoned in the back of a speeding van. Where it was heading, they couldn't tell, but they weren't the only ones in the back of that van.

"Looks like Alaric outed us all to the Council," Caroline said.

"The Council?" Isa laughed, pulling her ropes loose, almost free as the vervain had no effect on her. "What exactly do they think they can do to us?"

"Piss us off apparently," Rebekah remarked before someone else answered Isa's question.

The van crashed.

The vehicle rolled several times on the road as their bodies became weightless, held in place by the ropes as sharks of glass flew through the air. But where Rebekah and Caroline were sturdily tied down, Isa wasn't. Her body was truly weightless as she slammed against the metal insides of the van, the ropes long gone along with her consciousness as the van finally stopped moving.
The two blonde vampires were coming too as their ears rang and their vision came into focus and then the back doors of the van were forced open. They were forced open by a very alive Tyler Lockwood.

Caroline was crying happy tears and tears of pure disbelief as Tyler undid her hopes, his actions speeding up as the sound of the police cars that were escorting the van grew louder as they circled back. He pulled the younger vampire to her feet, helping her out of the van before he began reaching for an unconscious Isa.

"Don't touch her! And what about me?" Rebekah yelled and Tyler stilled for a second as Isa's body was settled over his shoulder.

"Enjoy the show, little sister. I'll be back for you," he said with a wink before he vanished into thin air, leaving a disbelieving Rebekah still restrained in the van.

"That's not possible," she gasped before it turned into a laugh. Of course, it was possible. This was her brother she was talking about. Her brother who eloped with the love of his life to save her life for a second time. Her brother who sacrificed himself to their father over and over so they stayed safe. Her brother, who would go to hell and back, who would move heaven and earth so he could be with his wife in every lifetime. Why wouldn't he not have some secret spontaneous plan to safe his life, his sire line, and his family's sanity?
