"Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan," Klaus said as he got out of the Black SUV he'd compelled someone to drive and extended a hand to escort his wife out. Isa beamed as she took his hand and slid elegantly out of the car, despite her joints being stiff from hours on the road. Her heels clicked on the concrete floor as Klaus held her hand in the air in escort towards a wooden door that he pulled open as Stefan all but fell out of the front seat of the car.
"What are we doing here?" Stefan asked, evidently tired.
"I know how much you loved it here," Klaus said as they gazed at what was beyond the wooden door. The sparkling city of Chicago as its skyscrapers lit up in the night.
"Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days yet, Pet?" Isa asked with a fake pout.
Stefan ignored her remark but answered anyway. "Blacked out most of them," he confessed as a massive 18-wheeler truck pulled up in front of the warehouse. "Lot of blood, lot of partying. The details are all a blur," Stefan said in an almost sing-song voice.
"Well that is a crying shame," Klaus said as he tucked Isa under his arm. "The details are what makes it legend," he said smiling as he reminisced. He squeezed Isa as he said, "You remember, love?"
She smiled against his shoulder, closing her eyes as she relived it for a second. "Mmm. The jazz, the booze. The flapper dresses. And I do believe you were quite the dirty dancer, if memory serves, Mr Mikaelson."
Klaus grinned wickedly as he leaned down, his nose grazing the column of her neck. "Don't pretend as if you didn't enjoy...every...single...second of it, Mrs Mikaelson."
"Enough with the lovey-dovey already," Stefan said exasperated. "What happened in Chicago?"
Klaus sighed as he righted himself, imagining the portrayal of the city of Chicago in a painting as he said, "Word was the ripper of Monterey got lonely. So, he escaped to the city for comfort."
"It was Prohibition. Everything was off-limits then, which made everything so much more fun," Isa continued, smiling as she slid her hand into Klaus's back pocket.
Klaus smiled in agreement and at the feel of her hand. "Chicago was magical."
Stefan stared at the view once more before turning and heading back inside the warehouse. "Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it."
Klaus rolled his eyes and frowned in annoyance as he closed the door and said, "Down to business then?'
"Why am I still with you?" Stefan asked yet again. "We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?' he said making Klaus frown more.
"I haven't had my fun yet," Isa piped up and Klaus merely smirked.
"We're going to see my favourite witch," then he turned to his wife. "Then you can have your fun."
Isa grinned, her lips crimson today.
"If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem, it's her," he said as he opened the door to the SUV for Isa who climbed in.
"She did always have the solution for everything," she said as she got comfortable. Klaus's smile was practically bragging as he followed his wife in.
They were heading back to their favourite club, which undoubtedly was still standing after all this time. It also happened to be the place where they met a certain ripper.

"Looks familiar doesn't it?" Klaus asked as they waltzed into the bar.
"I can't believe this place is still here," Stefan remarked.
"Like she'd let it crash and burn," Isa said as Klaus squeezed her hand.
"You gotta be kidding me," came a voice and heads turned to meet a blonde witch.
"So, a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender-" Klaus began.
"Stop," Gloria ordered. "You may be invincible but that doesn't make you funny," she said, and Isa laughed.
"I couldn't agree more," Isa said as she walked over to a smiling Gloria, Klaus slapping her rear as she went.
She flashed him a daring glare before wrapping the witch in a hug. "Long time Icy," Gloria said as they pulled apart.
"Too long, Ria," she said in reply as Gloria's eyes fell on Stefan.
"I remember you," he said.
"Yeah. You're Gloria," he said as he finally placed a name with the face. He looked at her curiously. "Shouldn't you be-"
"Old and dead?" Gloria finished before she smiled. "Now if I die, who's gonna run this place, huh?"
"Gloria's a very powerful witch," Klaus said leaning towards Stefan.
"I can slow the aging down some. Herbs and spells. But don't worry, it'll catch up to me one day," she explained.
"Stefan, why don't you fix us all a little something from behind the bar?" Klaus asked, clearly dismissing him.
"Sure thing," he said nodding as he walked off.
"You look ravishing by the way," Klaus said to Gloria and his wife narrowed her eyes at him.
"Don't," Gloria said annoyed. "Save the compliments for your wife who's too good for you," she said as they sat down at a table, Isa opting to sit on the banister that separated the tables from the dance floor. "I know why you're here," Gloria announced. "A hybrid out to make more hybrids. That kinda news travels."
"So, what am I doing wrong? I broke the curse," Klaus asked impatiently.
"Obviously you did something wrong," Gloria said and Klaus tilted his head in curiosity. "Look every spell has a loophole, but a curse that old, we'd have to contact the witch who created it," Gloria informed.
"Well, that would be the Original Witch. And she's very dead," Isa said, some venom in her voice as she picked at her fingernails, Klaus sliding her over on the banister to rest her heeled foot on his chair between his legs, a hand placed on her calf.
"I know. And for me to contact her, I'll need help," Gloria said. "Bring me Rebekah."
Isa's eyes widened in excitement at the name, a smile on her lips."Rebekah," Klaus laughed as his head fell and moved back up again. "Rebekah is a bit preoccupied."
"You mean -"
"Hush, love," Klaus cut off as he squeezed her leg, trying to calm her before she could finish her sentence and her anger could finish getting to the boiling point. Rebekah's daggering was a soft spot for them. "Let us keep the specifics out of prying ears," he suggested as he nodded in Stefan's direction. "What do you need Rebekah for?"
"She has what I need. Bring her to me," Gloria ordered.
Then Stefan's voice interrupted their conversation. "What is this?" he asked, his voice full of disbelief. It had seemed he found a picture of him and Klaus together in this very bar back in the 1920s.
"I told you, Stefan" Klaus said as he stood, manoeuvring around Isa's leg. "Chicago is a magical place."
"But this is me. With you," he said, showing the picture.
"I have to say, your hair looks so much better now," Isa said and Klaus grinned.
