"There has to be more to this dress," Rebekah said from her changing room.
"There's not, Bekah," Isa replied from the adjacent one.
Rebekah came out of the changing room in a semi-sheer patterned, deep V-neck cocktail dress with a frilled hem and a nude lining. "So, women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes then?" she frowned as Klaus and Stefan day-drunk champagne while lounging on sofas, bored out of their minds. "You know I got dirty looks for wearing trousers," Rebekah stated.
"You wore trousers then so women today could wear nothing," Nik said, raising his glass to her.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you Nik?" Isa said as she came out of her own dressing room in an ice-blue cocktail dress. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline and was covered in lace and the skirt was a few layers of sheer tulle, the straps however were made of diamonds, costume diamonds obviously.
Nik's eyes undressed Isa as she fiddled with her skirt and Bekah asked, "And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident."
Nik sighed as he clutched the bottle of champagne and went back to staring at Isa who was looking at herself in the mirror.
"It's dance music," Stefan answered.
"People dance to this?" Rebekah asked in disgust.
Stefan hummed a yes.
"Are we done?" Klaus asked as Rebekah approached him.
"And why are you so grumpy?"
"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids were dying. One thing: your necklace. And you lost it," he said with a sarcastic smile.
"I didn't lose it," Rebekah countered. "It's only been missing for 90 years."
"I don't like this," Isa frowned as she moved from the mirror.
Rebekah turned to her sister and looked her over as Klaus said, "Why not love? You look stunning."
She rolled her eyes at him as she walked over to Rebekah. "Oh, be quiet, Nik. You think I look good in everything which is no help at all."
"Yes, it clashes with your dark hair and your eyes. If you want to wear blue, go darker. Royal or navy, I'd suggest," Rebekah said, walking over to a rack and pulling out a dress in the deep royal blue shade she mentioned as well as one in a wine colour before handing it to Isa. "So, what do you think?" Rebekah said spinning, but she directed her question to the boys, but Isa still looked her over.
"I like it," Stefan said and Rebekah lolled her head as she rolled her eyes. "What? I said I like it?" Stefan defended.
"I could always tell when you're lying Stefan," Rebekah said before turning to her sister.
"The lace hem clashes with the pattern on the dress. I'd lose it all together," she said as she moved to a rack and pulled out a couple of pieces for Rebekah, one in black and one in red. "Try these. They look more your style and colour," she said handing them to the blonde.
Rebekah smiled. "Out of all the stupid things Niklaus has ever done in his life, and there have been a lot, the one smart thing he did do was marry you," she said and Isa hugged the girl as Nik raised his hands in a 'what are you talking about?' gesture. Rebekah glared at Stefan once more before retreating to her dressing room."Nice one. Good work," Klaus said to Stefan, raising his glass at him.
"You were the one that pulled the dagger out of her," Stefan retaliated.
"I heard that!" Rebekah called and Nik just sighed as he finished his glass of champagne.
"You are none the better, Niklaus," Isa said before retreating to her own dressing room, her husband scowling at her remark but enjoying watching her walk away from him.
