(A/N: If this chapter doesn't make too much sense, I will explain everything in the next chapter, such as Isa's reasons for her actions. Hope you enjoy. XxD)

"What are you doing here, Klaus?" Stefan asked as he walked into the Salvatore house to find Klaus lounging on a couch, whiskey in hand and music playing until Stefan turned it off.

"I'm waiting for Damon," he answered.

"Why?"

Klaus grinned. "Funny story really, see yesterday before our little phone call, Damon begged my wife and I to save Elena even though we don't need her anymore," he began, and Stefan's eyes widened in shock. "And so, we did, but I got something in exchange, for it and I'm waiting for Damon to come through on his end or I will kill Elena. I mean, unless you would like to give me my family back," Klaus offered.

"See, I'm not negotiating," Stefan said as he sat. "So, you leave Mystic Falls, give me a call in a couple years and we'll chat."

Klaus laughed. "Oh, I should've brought Isa here."He kept going once he saw the confused look on Stefan's face. "See, my wife, won't be able to see you without having an overwhelming urge to rip your heart out of your chest, but she also happens to be the most skilled interrogator I have ever met over a thousand years. The upside to having the supernatural ability to read people, I suppose," Klaus mused, a small smile on his face as he thought of his wife. It sometimes amazed him that after a thousand years, he was still so unbelievably in love with her.

Stefan leaned closer and said, "She or you, try anything and I drop your family-"

Klaus's laugh interrupted Stefan's threat. "You made me lose another bet." Stefan's face was still blank as he leaned over his armrest. "Isa called it that you didn't have a plan for your revenge beyond nabbing my family. Gods, I swear that woman is clairvoyant sometimes. But anyways, Crazy Stefan, you got any friends left?"

Stefan sat back, silent. Because Klaus was right. Stefan was alone. He was a villain, and he was alone. But what made it worse was, that Klaus, the biggest, baddest, villain around had somebody who loved him unconditionally. And Stefan was alone. And as much as he wanted to blame Klaus for it, he knew it was his own fault.

"You've got your family back, finally," said the hybrid, Daniel, as he wheeled the third coffin into the room. The Salvatores still had one with them, leverage they called it, and Klaus still refused to let Isa anywhere near them. They had a running bet now as to which Salvatore she would get to torture first. "You going to open them?" Daniel wondered.

"Not quite yet," Klaus sighed as he escorted Isa from the coffin room. "There's still some unfinished business we have to take care of," he explained.

The hybrid had just asked what kind of business before he yelled out in pain and the couple turned. They turned to watch as Elijah, freshly risen from his coffin, ripped his heart out through his back. "So, Niklaus," Elijah said, making it a point to ignore Isa.

"Elijah," Klaus breathed in shock.

"What'd I miss?" he asked. They both remained silent, Klaus pushing Isa behind him slightly, more for fear of what she would do to Elijah than vice versa. "You looked surprised to see me. So, I take it, that you weren't the ones to remove the dagger from my chest."

"You look like you could do with a drink. And we have a lot to discuss, so shall we?" Klaus said as he gestured to the sofa, only to barely push Isa out of the way as Elijah punched Klaus, sending him flying through the doors. "Easy! I just finished renovating!" Klaus growled and Isa lunged.
