Two weeks have passed since my baby girl came home, so the twins are now a month old. It's been great. Hard, but amazing. Lidewij and Bas are getting married in a month, they're having a traditional church wedding, their reception is going to be held in the town hall and they're going back to Amsterdam for a month as their honeymoon.
Right now I am in the living room, feeding Infinity whilst Isaac is feeding Gus. My dad is at work for the day and Isaac wanted to come over to help me. He's been great, as always. He'd make a great dad one day, he's so good with the twins.
"So, I found a job." Isaac says.
"That's great, Isaac. What will you be doing?" I ask.
"I'm going to be working in the local supermarket. It's not much but it's quite good pay." He says.
"Well, I'm happy for you, Isaac." I tell him.
"Thanks." He says.
Just then there is a knock on the door. I put Infinity's bottle on the coffee table and stand, with her still in my arms, I walk to the door. I open it to find Peter on the other side, smiling.
"Hey Peter. Come in." I say as I move out of the way so he can enter.
When he's in I shut the door behind him and we head into the living room where Isaac is now burping Gus.
"Hey Peter." Isaac says.
"Hey." Peter says.
Peter and I sit on the sofa.
"So, what do we owe the pleasure?" I ask my favourite author.
"Well, I just heard back from the publisher and they have agreed to publish the book. They say it could be out in the stores in as little as two months." Peter answers.
"Really?" I ask, shocked, but excited.
"Yep, Augustus Waters is going to be remembered." He says.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." I say before embracing him, with only one arm as Infinity is in the other.
"No problem, Hazel." He says. "So, how are my two favourite twins doing?"
"They're fine. They're getting better when it comes to sleeping. They let me and my dad sleep more." I answer.
"Good." He says.
After that we just spend five hours talking and laughing about various things, random things. It's great, knowing that I have so many people around to help me, knowing that my Augustus Waters is going to be remembered in the way he wanted to be remembered, knowing that people will be able to realise how serious cancer is, how horrible it is, how difficult it is.
Knowing that Augustus and I have our little infinities.
