Chapter 10

Thunder Strikes, Back in the medical bay in the Tower,

"Looks like Slade pulled off one last trick. His mask contained a chemical reagent that infiltrated your nervous system."

"The dust, it made me see, hear and feel Slade, even though he wasn't there." Robin just realized,

"And the more you fighted, the more it caused much harm to you."

"And anybody else who got in the way..." Crow pointed out, "Scan says you're all clear now though." Cy let Robin know.

"Yeah? Well, Just to be sure." Robin got off the bed and headed to the light switch, she turned the lights off and looked around the room for Slade but Slade wasn't there. Robin flipped the lights back on, she sighed,

"I've been fighting Slade for so long, I guess it's hard to just let it go. But sometimes I feel like I'm the only one still looking for him. The only one who can stop him."

"Robin, You are never alone." Superboy told, and then Cy standing into the conversation,

"And if Slade really does ever return, we'll be ready. We've got things covered here. Why don't you get some rest?

"Sounds like a good idea." Robin liked the idea and agreed she exited the medical bay and headed to the room, to get some rest after the long and painful experience she had.

Still within the medical with the others,

"Okay, She's better. Now what about me? I'm dying over here." Beast Girl sneezing so much with transformation into animals, last one she turned into was a frog and croaks, Crow and Superboy laughed but then Crow noticed something Cy was focusing on something about Slade's mask. They walked back over to her,

"What is it?" Crow asked,

"The reagent in Slade's mask didn't trigger itself. There was a signal. Somebody triggered it... from the outside." They're eyes widened as they were surprised but who would know and who could trigger the reagent in Slade's mask? That answer is unknown.
