chapter 8: lunch time drama

Tazzy paced up and down the entrance of the great hall, Mia was never late for them meeting up after lessons, what happened? Does she not want to be friends or something? Tazzy wondered. Is she okay? Thousands of doubts and questions flooded Tazzy's brain, where could she be? Another minute passed, still no Mia. Five minutes passed, still no Mia. Tazzy wondered if maybe she had forgotten but that wasn't like Mia, 'she is probably just talking to her teacher' Tazzy thought, 'yes she has a good relationship with all the teachers so that must be what is happening. Tazzy waited another minute outside the great hall before deciding that it was probably best to just go inside and have some lunch...

As Mia left the hospital wing to go and meet Tazzy for lunch as she did every day but as she was making her way to the great hall a familiar voice called her name, "Mia?" Mia spun around to see that it was the red haired boy who called her name, "hi Ron!" Mia answered, "Whats up?"
"I just wanted to see if you were okay after taking Malfoy to the hospital wing that's all,"

"Yeah i'm fine but what did you really want to ask?" Mia said looking the boy up and down, "right well i was wondering if you could help me revise for the care of magical creatures test..."
"We have a test?!" Mia asked, shocked "yeah hagrid told us at the end of the lesson but you were busy looking after Malfoy so yeah.... But don't worry you are very clever so i doubt that you will fail...me on the other hand..." Ron said looking down, "hey don't talk about yourself like that" Mia said, "after all you have me, granddaughter of the great Newt Scamander, to help you!" Ron smiled at Mias statement, "Do you wanna grab some food then start revising?" Mia asked, "definitely!" Ron replied as they left to the great hall laughing about the craziness of their first two lessons.

"Hey Tazzy," Cedric said, "where is Mia?" he asked looking around the great hall for his friend, "I could ask you the same thing," Tazzy coldly replied, "she didn't show."

"Oh I'm sorry Tazzy I'm sure she is just busy..." Cedric said looking round the room, "yeah must be," Tazzy said as she repeatedly stabbed her food. "Hey look it's no big deal she will show eventually," Cedric said, "It is a big deal Cedric, she is my only friend... i have no one else except you of course but you have other people you want to spend time with, it's always been easy for you guys to make friends, but not me, i'm okay with her spending time with other people I am! I just wished she would have come here to tell me that she wants to spend time with someone else instead of leaving me all alone."

"I can stay with you if you want-"

"No just go, it's okay," Tazzy said, giving Cedric a small smile as he left. 'Where is she' Tazzy thought and is if by magic in came Mia... laughing.... With a boy....a ginger boy... weasley.

"Omg Ron i can't believe you said that!" Mia said in between a fit of giggles, "yeah well not all of us are perfect," Ron joked as they sat down at the gryffindor table. It was normal at breakfast and lunch for people to mix tables, in fact it was encouraged however Mia had only ever sat on the Hufflepuff table so she felt odd sitting with Gryffindors, but nevertheless she sat down. "Hello Mia!" a girl with frizzy, untamable dark hair, brown eyes, and pale skin said as she smiled, "i don't think was have formally met yet i'm Hermione Granger, and i know who you are Mia, honestly i quite admire your work its exceptionally good and you are very clever i suppose that's why Ronald has asked you to study i suppose?"

"Erm yes," Mia said while giggling, "Well at least i won't have to suffer alone with these two anymore and i'll actually be able to have conversations that aren't about food," Hermonie said looking at Ron, "honestly he doesn't stop eating and on the rare occasion that he isn't eating he will probably be talking about food!" Hermonie said slightly annoyed, as everyone except Ron let out a laugh, then continued with their conversation.
