chapter 4: a sleepless(ish) night

"Hello again moon!" Mia said as she and Tazzy made their way into the dorm. Moon gently purred and Mia softly stroked her. "God i love your cat so much!" Tazzy exclaimed as she saw how happy the cat was to see them. "Me too!" Mia said while looking at Moon. Moon was a fluffy cat with bright emerald eyes and a pink button nose. Not only was Moon very cute but she was also extremely clever, well for a cat at least. Mia and Tazzy took it in turns to cuddle Moon while praising hr for being such a clever cat. "So..." Tazzy said, "the boys have certainly had a glow up haven't they?!" Mia rolled her eyes and laughed at Tazzy's statement. "I'm being serious!" she said throwing a pillow at Mia! "Hey" exclaimed Mia "you will pay for that one!" she said throwing the pillow back at Tazzy. "This means war!" shouted Tazzy as both girls launched into a fully fledged pillow fight!

"Oh my!" a voice from the doorway said. Both Girls stopped what they were doing and Tazzy let Mia out of the head lock, "hi," Tazzy and Mia replied at the same time, holding in their laughter. At the doorway stood Poppy and Trisha. "Not even one night in and you two are already trying to kill each other?!" Poppy said half disappointed and half pleased. "Yes, what about it," jazzy joked, earning a stern look from Poppy. "Okay, okay, we will stop. there see back to besties." Tazzy then caught Mia off guard by giving her a big hug, then the girls made their way over to their respective beds and sat down.

"So as I was saying before Mia rudely interrupted..."

"Hey you started the pillow fight!"

"Details, details, now as i was saying the lads have had a glow up this year so.. Who do you guys have an eye on?" Tazzy said, eyeing up each one of the girls. "Well I think Harry is cute," Trisha said, there was a murmur of agreement among the girls. "The only problem is," Trisha started "he is way out of my league!" Trisha said defeated. "Normally i would disagree but he is world famous and you are basic so you know..." poppy said looking at the floor. "No, don't listen to her!" Mia shouted "Trisha Buttermere, you are a stunning young lady and Harry would be lucky to have you so stop with the negative attitude and go get your man!" Mia shouted. "Hell yes what she said!" Tazzy replied. "Fine but don't blame me when your plan backfires and you get your heartbroken!" poppy scoffed. Tazzy and Mia glared at her for a second before they all continued with their conversation. "So poppy.." Tazzy started, "who do you have a crush on?" Tazzy asked, "no one i'm too mature for boys," poppy stated with her head held high. "So you like girls then?" Tazzy asked. "What no! Why would you say that!?" poppy asked, clearly offended by Tazzy's harmless statement "well i do it's not a big deal, get over it!" poppy stared at Tazzy. "What?"

"You like girls?"

"Yes?" Tazzy said clearly confused, "don't tell me you didn't know!" Poppy shook her head while Mia, Tazzy and Trisha looked at her as if she was the stupidest person alive. "So at no point when i announced I am dating Hannah abbot did you think 'oh this lass is dating another lass she must be gay,' did that not cross your mind?!" poppy slowly shook her head, "well you realy are stupid aren't you!" all the girls except poppy laughed before an awkward silence engulfed the group.

"So is anyone going to tell me what happened with the dementors on the train?" Mia asked. "Oh my i forgot that you weren't on the train!" Trisha said shocked, "it was crazy. So what happened was the train came to a stop then it got proper cold didn't it?"

"Ye it did," Tazzy replied. "Right! Then after that apparently dementors came on the train!"

"What!" Mia exclaimed in pure shock, "and that's not the worst of it," Trisha continued, "the dementor went into Harry's compartment and started sucking his face off!"

"You what?" Mia asked, confused by Trisha's last statement. "She meant removing his happy memories, leaving only the bad ones. He said that he heard a scream just before he passed out, but the thing is no one screamed..." poppy said solemnly "then he collapsed and straight after that professor Lupin produced a patronus charm."

"Professor Lupin was on the train?" Mia asked confused "yes, that must be why you don't know him because he doesn't live in the castle, maybe?" Tazzy questioned. "Yeah that's probably why i don't know who he is," Mia replied., "sounded like quite a train journey,"

"It really was," replied the three girls. And with that a happy conversation picked up agen.

"I think we should really go to bed now," poppy said while yawning, "agreed," Mia and Trisha replied. "Whyyyyyyyyy!" Tazzy sighed. "We have lessons bright and early and Tazzy and I'm not being late for the 3rd year in a row!" Mia replied "now sleep!" Mia said playfully. "Fine," fine Tazzy sighed and with that the four girls slept peacefully through the night.

A/N: this is a short chapter especially compared to the last one but oh well idk what else to write for this bit so yeah and its just for you to get to know Mias dorm mates and how poppy is a bitch and Tazzy is gay! there will be allot of wlw peeps so yeah. Mia is straight tho and only has eyes for Draco.... and Ron oop-
