Ruby felt her arms were beginning to shake from the force of the comet, but she wouldn't let that stop her. With nothing but love and determination in her heart....Ruby gave it one final push until she fell back with an "OOF!" from the sudden lost of the weight of the comet's magic. "OW That hurt!" whined Ruby clutching the Stone in one hand and rubbing her backside with the other. "You OK, Ruby!?" asked Tony running next to his sister. "Yeah, just wasn't expecting it to knock me backwards...." said Ruby. "It was worth it though! I can tell you that already!" said Tony smiling as he looked behind them. Ruby turned to look at what Tony was looking at and froze. The man and woman no longer looked as though they were made of stone. Oh no, they looked VERY much alive. Well, as alive looking as two vampires can be. "You did it, Ruby!" whispered Tony with a grin. "I...I did, didn't I!?" asked Ruby looking at Tony smiling. "Well, what are you waiting for!? Go on, Ruby! You've waited over THREE HUDRED YEARS for this!" whispered Tony helping Ruby to her feet. Ruby smiled at her brother as she put the Stone back around her neck and slowly approached the two vampires. "Mommy? Daddy?" she asked slowly. Both vampires stopped looking around and noticed the little girl standing a few feet away. "Ruby! Ruby my child!" cried Elizabeth running over to her and embracing her tightly. "Mommy!" cried Ruby wrapping her arms around her mother's neck. "Oh, Ruby! We've missed you so!" whispered Elizabeth as Von embraced Ruby with his wife. "I missed you too. I was alone for a really long time. Then I wasn't." said Ruby smiling at Tony and running over to hug him. "Mom, Dad, this is Tony. He's my adoptive big brother!" "It's nice to meet you. I've sort of already met the rest of your family. Rudolph's my new best friend!" said Tony with a smile. "Rudolph? Freda's son? I thought I had lost contact with them seeing as though they never responded to my letters." said Von. "What letters?" asked Ruby curiously. "You father wrote to your aunt and uncle telling them about you. Your father must've written them at least four perhaps five times telling them about you." said Elizabeth. "Guess Uncle Fredrick moved locations or something because they had no clue I even existed." said Ruby. "Oh darling, we're sorry! You must've been so frightened meeting your father's side of the family for the first time!" said Elizabeth. "A little. Gregory is kinda scary but it's OK. Even if they did seem pretty mad at you guys. Am I making you feel bad?" asked Ruby placing her hands behind her back feeling guilty about telling her parents about what had been going on. "Of course not dear! You shouldn't being felling sad! It's your birthday!" said Elizabeth grasping her daughter's arms. "Hey, you guys should come to our house! My parents are throwing Ruby a birthday party!" said Tony with a smile deciding to lighten up the mood. "A....birthday party?" asked Elizabeth looking over at her husband in confusion. "Yeah. You know, a way to celebrate the day Ruby was born. There's cake, balloons, streamers, and all kinds of fun party games to play!" said Tony. "Strange. I've never heard of such a gathering before." said Von. "You both will come right? Uncle Fredrick said he and Aunt Freda might consider coming too." said Ruby. "Well. I suppose there's no harm in attending. We could even give Tony's parents our thanks for taking our child in as their own." said Elizabeth gently grasping her husband's hand. Von seemed to ponder for a good long while (well, it was long for Tony and Ruby anyhow) before finally nodding his head. "Alright. We will attend this birthday party for Ruby." he said. Ruby and Tony both grinned at each other before high fiving. "Come, Tony, you will fly with me." said Von holding out his hand to the small boy. "Ruby, you do how to fly don't you dear?" asked Elizabeth gently. "Yup! I've been practicing! See!?" said Ruby holding out her arms and changing into a bat before squeaking and flying around in a circle before landing on Tony's shoulder making him laugh. "That's our brave little girl." praised Elizabeth with a proud smile to match her husband's.

Once they arrived back at the Thompson residence, Tony noticed that their Dad's car was still missing. "That's weird. Dad's not home from work yet." he said looking over at Ruby. Both children were unaware that their parents were actually out searching for their children along with the Sackville-baggs. "The door's unlocked so Mommy's home. Oops, I mean YOUR mom, Tony." said Ruby now having to get used to the fact her birth parents were back in her life. "Don't worry, Ruby, we'll figure it out!" whispered Tony making Ruby smile before following him inside. "Mom! We're home! And we brought guests! Mom!?" Ruby frowned when she didn't hear a response while Von and Elizabeth examined the castle with great interest. "How odd. The castle looked so ruined and worn down when we left Ruby here to protect her." said Elizabeth looking around with great interest. "Duh, three HUNDRED years have gone by. A lot can happen in that time." said Tony. "Yes, so it would seem." said Von picking up a VERY fragile statuette that belonged to Tony's mother making the small boy panic and quickly but carefully took it away from the vampire. "OK, first rule of the house, don't touch ANYTHING. My parents would KILL me if something got broken in here." said Tony. "Kill you? Now why would your parents wish death upon you?" asked Elizabeth. "It's an expression, Mom. It means Tony will be in a lot of trouble." said Ruby. "Ruby, why on earth do you keep calling your mother 'mom'?" asked Von curiously. "That's just how kids today address their parents. There's a whole BUNCH of ways to say mother and father now since it's kinda a mouthful. The most common are 'momma', 'dada', 'mommy', 'daddy', 'mom', and 'dad'." explained Tony. "Or Papa!" added Ruby. "I said most common, Ruby." said Tony lightly nudging her making her giggle.
