It's A Secret Not A Lie (Tsukishima Kei X Reader)

Chapter Twenty

~Third Person P.O.V~

(Y/n) walked to the gym after receiving a text from Tsukishima bracing herself for what awaited her beyond the doors. She took a deep breath and slid the doors opened and walked inside Tsukishima was leaning against the wall not to far away from the door. His focus left the floor to look up at the girl with (E/c) eyes that walked in the gym.

She looked around the gym until there eyes met she stood in place not daring to move as if she was mesmerized while gazing into golden brown eyes. As he began walking close to (Y/n) a frown was evident on his face not ready to say the words he felt. They stood together neither of them talking until the middle blocker finally spilled what he had been thinking

"I like you, I like the you I just met and the you I knew back then. I like you as the guy I met now but also as I girl I knew three years ago..." the word spewed out of his mouth as he fiddled with his hands looking at the ground. (Y/n) stood there dumbfound not even knowing how to reply it was obvious that she liked him as well but something was holding them back "Tsukki...-" She said as she took his hands in hers giving a sad smile knowing she was about to regret the word she was about to say "-I like you to... I really do but we- I can't... what will people say" Her voice shook as she spoke "Look I don't care what people say and it's obvious I'm not straight... let them talk I won't care" His monotone voice echoed in the empty gym. A sigh escaped the girls lips, her (E/c) eyes where soft as she looked up at him "I don't wanna know what they would say Tsukki... I don't wanna know what they would think.. so I can't I'm sorry" her voice was barely above a whispere as she averted her gaze to the ground "Do you think it's wrong or something?" He immediately asked causing the girl to look back up "What" she asked "Do you think it's wrong for guys to be together is that why?" Tsukishima's hands clenched at his side his face showing pain and disgust "No.. I don't think it's wrong but more than half of them out there do... I'm sorry Tsukki..." after saying that she turned on her heal and walked out of the gym.

Tsukishima stood in the gym wish that for once things would work out for him. Years ago he was lied to by his brother, this his friend vanished and now that he has her back he feels like he's loosing her all over again.

He walked out of the gym to be greeted by a girl with strawberry blond hair and green eyes. "That was a pretty intense conversation you had with (L/n)-Kun... I mean I only heard the ending but geez, Oh I'm Jet Lilith by the way I'm in class 1-5, in all honesty though I don't understand what's so special about (L/n)-Kun he's obviously a play boy but allll the girls love him" The girl talked casually as if they'd been friends forever Tsukishima only glared daggers at the girl. Tsukishima kept walking ignoring the girl hoping he could get to class before the bell rang or before he said something that would get him sent to the office.

The obnoxious girl followed him all the way to class "Let's eat lunch together M'kay!" She yelled as he walked into his class still ignoring the her. He too his seat beside (L/n) neither of them uttering a word to each other "Hi Tsukki, what took you so long?" Yamaguchi asking trying to release some of the tension "An annoying girl with pink hair" was the only thing he got as a response "O-oh S-sorry Tsukki...." Yama muttered feeling bad that his friend had to deal with that as the teacher came in the room.

Tsukishima was looking out the window with his headphones on deciding to ignor the lesson when he felt a tap on his arm. He looked to the seat beside him to the the (H/c) haired girl passing a note his way he rased his eye brow questioningly before taking it.

"You should take your headphones off before you get in trouble"

"Why do you care?, Besides I don't care if I get in trouble"

"Well you should, and why wouldn't I care your my friend..."

They passed the note back and forth talking but the word Friend  making his freeze. The word stood out to him the most making his heart ache painfully. "Tsukishima-San are you paying attention? Take those headphones off" the teacher call catch his attention he pulled the headphones off glowering at the teach "Yea I'm paying attention" he grumbled while crumbling up the note directing his eyes back out the window.

When lunch finally rolled around (Y/n) had some how already vanished probably to the roof with Hetana. "A-are we not going to the roof today Tsukki?" Yamaguchi asked to get his friends attention "No, why should we there's no point in going okay" Tsukishima said with venom laced in his voice "G-gomen Tsukki" Yamaguchi said looking down eating his Bento Box.

"Tsukishima!!!!!!" A voice called causing Yamaguchi look at where it was coming from and Tsukishima to grunt. The strawberry blond girl who's names was Jet Lilith walked through the door happily with her Bento Box taking the empty seat in between the two volleyball players. "Are you one of Tsukishima's friends? I'm Jet Lilith, but you both can call me Lilith-chan" she smiled happily "Ugh Hi" Yamaguchi waved awkwardly looking at Tsukishima who gave him a dramatic eye roll showing that he was beyond annoyed with the girls presence.
