Chapter Thirty-five

~(Y/n) P.O.V~

After closing my bedroom door I took a deep breath trying to calm myself and keep from crying again. I sat on my bed and pulled my phone out of my pocket I watched as a shakily pulled Tsukishima's name and called him.

As the phone rang I held my breath until I heard his monotone voice having a hint of concern seeping through "(L/n)? Hey are you okay? Diachi said you went home early.." I sighed feeling a bit more at ease "Sorry for interrupting practice-" I spoke with my voice a bit shaky. "It's alright, you're my priority, what's wrong?" He asked "I- ... I'm not sure how much longer I'll be in school.." I closed my eyes after finishing the sentence waiting for him to respond "Tsukki..?" I asked after not getting an answer "I'll be over as soon as I can, alright? I'll talk to Diachi and see if he'll let me leave a bit earlier than usual.. we can talk when I get there okay?" He said with shuffling in the background, I hummed in response hanging up the phone.

I laid in my bed hugging a pillow tight letting all my unwanted tear be absorbed by it. After a few minutes I decided to get up and go shower. As I stood under the hot water I let my mind drift off and fill with questions, 'Why did she have to come back, why hasn't she been caught yet, and why would she still want to find me?' I thought to myself angrily.

Once I got out of the shower I walked to my bed in a pair of workout shorts and a baggy sweater, grabbing my phone I sent a message to Kenma.

Hey Kenma.. if you aren't busy... do you think we can game together for a bit?

Gaming Buddy (Kenma):
Hey (L/n), sure we can just give me a minute. My friend is over rn and he's being ✨Active✨ and is trying to force me to work out with him

Yeah you say that right now, but you'll regret it when training camp comes! 🙄

After that I grabbed my switch as well as my headphones and proceeded to log onto the game. I closed my eyes and waited for the loading screen to finish loading once it was done I turned on my mic and invited Kenma to my island. "Hey" He said sounding tired "Hey" I said back "Wow, this is a first you sound worse than me" he said in a teasing tone obviously trying to ease the mood, I chuckled "Geez thanks buddy, I can always count on you for a compliment" I heard him give a quiet laugh.

As time passed I slowly grew bored of animal crossing "Hey Kenma, do you know anymore games we could play? You know apart from our usual ones?" I asked "Hm.. no but I could probably find something, I'll go look and text you if I find something" He said "Alright, talk to you later Kodzuken" I said signing out of the game.

~Tsukishima's P.O.V~

"Hey Tsukishima!" Diachi yelled waving me over "Yes?" I asked looking at him hopefully "Why don't you go ahead and leave, we only have an hour left of practice" He said with a empathetic smile "Thank you Daichi sempi" I grabbed my bag leaving the gym in a hurry. As I walked in the direction of (Y/n)'s house I pulled out my phone and sent a message to her letting her know I was on my way.

Once I got there I knocked on the door noticing the lights on inside. I heard a bit of shuffling come from behind the door before it opened to reveal Mr. (L/n) looking confused. "Tsukishima, I wasn't expecting you here this evening..." he said stepping aside to let me in "I'm sorry for coming over unannounced Mr. (L/n)" I said looking at the ground taking my shoes off "Nonsense, I'm actually glad your here... (N/n) could actually use your company right now, she's in her room" he spoke with a soft voice making his way back to the living room after closing the door.

I walked to my girlfriend's room and knocked on the door, when I didn't get an answer I decided to open the door just a little to peek inside. "(N/n)?" I called seeing her sitting on her bed staring off into space, I walked in the room leaving the door ajar. "(Y/n)" I said louder finally gaining her attention "Oh Tsukki... when did you get here?" She asked standing up to hug me "I just got here, are you alright? Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked her while hugging back.

~Third Person P.O.V~

As they sat on the girls bed he listened as she explained everything to him. He watched as she cried, he softly wiped her tears and assured her everything would be alright. He hugged her and just let her cry into his chest, he was at a loss for words not knowing how to make his girlfriend feel better or if he even could. "What if I have to leave again Tsukki... not just school but Japan" (L/n) asked "Well on the unlikely chance of that happening... I'll just go with you" Tsukishima said with a smile, giving him a questioning look she replied "Kei I don't think your mom or brother would go for that" she laughed a little "Maybe not but I could try" He smiled.

As the evening continued to pass Tsukishima got the okay from his mom and from Mr and Mrs (L/n) to stay the night since it was late and the next day was a Saturday. "Here Tsukki, sorry I don't have anything bigger for your lanky figure" (Y/g/n) laughed handing the clothes to the middle blocker so he could go shower, as she sat on her bed now feeling much better she picked up a book and started reading while waiting for him.
