Chapter Seventeen

~(Y/n) P.O.V~

I ran out of the school to see Tsukishima and Yamaguchi waiting at the gate for me "It's about time you showed up Pipsqueak" Tsukishima said slightly annoyed. I awkwardly scratched the back of my neck "sorry for making you guys wait" I said chuckling lightly "It's fine" Yamayama beamed happily "Don't worry about it shorty" Tsukishima said ruffling my hair.

We walked towards Tsukishima's house, Yamaguchi stoping midway saying he had to leave to go help the idiotic duo with some school work. I waved to him as he walked off leaving me and Tsukishima to walk alone. "When we get to my house ignore my brother and go straight to my room" Tsukishima said glancing at me from the side.

We followed the old road until we can to a plain white two story house. He walked up to the door and unlocked it with ease moving to the side allowing me to come in. I removed my shoes at the door before following Tsukishima up the stairs to the last door on the left. His door was white with the same dino stickers that I remembered being there making me laugh. I heard him grumble under his breath while opening the door.

I walked past him into the room happily exploring and seeing what was different. He had shirts with different moon phases, along with books on dinosaurs, and a few dinosaur figurens but what really caught my attention was the dino plushie sitting on his bed. I smiled while grabbing it off his bed cuddling it. "Pipsqueak put that back" he complained trying to take it out of my arms "No" I said turning so he couldn't take it. After a good five minutes of trying to convince him to let me keep it he agreed to let me cuddle it while working on school work.

We worked on the school for an hour and everything was making perfect sense but my focus was starting to wander. While he explained to me the math equations my eyes wander around his room until they landed on the picture beside his bed. "We should take a break... also I really wanna talk to you about something" Tsukishima said pulling me out of my daze. I looked at him and shook my head in agreement.

We sat together in silence for a few moments until he picked up the the photo "You remember this don't you (Y/n)" he spoke smiling fondly at our picture "I told you thats my sis-" he cut me off by slamming his hands on the bed "Stop lying! I heard you talking to Kozume yesterday... I heard him call you by your real name just please... stop lying" his voice was shallow at the end and his stoic golden brown eyes didn't meet mine like I initially thought while sitting there silently. "So I'll ask you again, Do you remember this (Y/n)" his voice was calm and collected "Yes of course I remember how could I ever forget" I said holding out my hand hoping he'd let me hold the picture. I seen him glance at my hand then back to the picture before he put his hand in my my own "You can hold the picture after you hold my hand... you need to make up for the last few years" he mumbled slightly gripping tightly on my hand.

I attempted to pull my hand away from him but he only gripped tighter "You know I was planning to tell you soon but I thought you'd hate me, after all I pushed you and Yamaguchi away for weeks then vanished" I looked at our intertwined hands "In all honesty I hated you for a while, but then I started to worrie I just wanted to know you where okay... and then (L/n) (F/g/n) showed up and he reminded me of (R/l/n) (Y/n), I tried pushing it the feeling away then I seen our picture in your room, and you said (Y/n) died then completely changed to saying you could say anything about it and it didn't make any sense, and lastly then we seen your dad and he acts just like I remember not like he lost his only daughter. In all honesty I thought it was suspicious that you put your uniform over your gym clothes, and never changed in the club room, I really did miss you though Munchkin" he said boldly rapping his arms around me I sat there shocked not daring to move. He had his head buried in between my shoulder and neck and mumbled one single sentence "Why did you leave?" I didn't know how to respond so the only thing to leave my mouth was "My mother" he seemed to understand because he didn't ask anymore and just cuddled closer into the crevice of my neck.

I rapped my arms around his thin but muscular figure just enjoying having one if my best friends back "Don't vanish again got it, if you do then I'll just have to... get payback in kisses" He said smirking against my skin "I won't vanish" I told him pulling away from the hug "Hmm I think I should get payback for the last three years don't you think?" He asked moving his lips closer to mine "Uh" my head blanked out. I felt his lips meet mine for a short moment before he pulled away "That's one year of me missing you" after saying that his lips met mine again this time lingering longer before moving away enough for our eyes to meet "That's two years" before out lips could connect again the door to his room opened "Hey Little Bro Shima I was just wondering if you and your guest would like some tea but it seems like I'm interrupting" Akiteru said walking out as soon as he came in.

I chuckled to myself quietly as Tsukishima grumbled profanitys to himself before looking back at me "Sorry... he ruined the moment" Tsukishima sighed annoyed. Without warning our lips meet again in a ruff passionate kiss "That's for the third year of me missing you" he said sitting up completely giving his usual smirk with a red face "I missed you to" was all I said with my face glowing red, he started laughing "Okay Munchkin let's get back to your school work" I looked at him shocked and annoyed "You can't just make me go back to school work doing school work after that!" I complained closing my books laying back on his bed "Fine then what do you wanna do" he asked closing the rest of the books sitting them on the ground "Hmmm lets talk about how awful your writing was was a kid" I smiled turning over on my stomach pulling out the folded note my parents left in the box the day before. "My parents found it for me, so now I'll read it back to you" I said with a proud smile

"To my dear best friend (Y/n),

I just wanted you to remember I will always be your knight and no matter what you'll be my best friend and even if you decide to leave me to be friends with a super lame dragon I will still be here.

If you one day you vanish I will become a super duper brave knight and search until I fjne you because with me and Yamaguchi as your friends you will never be alone!

I read aloud proudly seeing his face turn red while he tried covering it. "You've always been such a dork huh Tsukki?" I asked turning my complete attention to him "I guess so, but I wouldn't mind keeping that promise" he said sarcastically with a wink "Is that so" I raised an eyebrow "Mhm" he said yawning "Haha very funny" I said sarcastically earning a chuckle from him.
