Chapter Twenty-one

~(Y/n) P.O.V~

I silently sat on the roof with my Bento Box and a book. I paused in the middle and looked out over the sky sighing as I brought my knees up to my chest. I recalled the events that happened this morning causing me to let out an annoyed groan 'why do I always care what people think? Why did I reject him?!?!' I whined to myself. I slipped my phone out of my pocket and decided to text two people who I thought could help me in this situation.

~Idiotic Duo Group Chat~

(L/n):
Hey Hina, Kags? Can I talk to y'all about something?

Baby Tangerine (Hinata):
Hiiiii! OFC YOU CAN!!!!!!!!

Bokeyama (Kageyama):

How do y'all deal with the judgement from other people about y'alls relationship?

Bokeyama (Kageyama):
Well we haven't really told anyone apart for you yet.... but I suppose for all the people who found out on there own we just ignore all the negativity and be happy with the person that we love....

Baby Tangerine (Hinata):
I agree with Kags, but (N/n) What made you ask us that? Did you fine someone you like? Do we know them?

(L/n):
Ugh.... yea I did find someone... and you guys do know him

Baby Tangerine (Hinata):
That's great! Who is it?

Bokeyama (Kageyama):
We're happy for you

I decided to turn my phone off and put it back in my pocket decided not to read there lovely couples argument with each other in our group chat. Smiled to myself thinking about the night before when we studied then talked 'That was nice' I thought to myself, the bell rang pulling me out of my thoughts and reminding me we had five minutes before class.

I gathered all of my belongings and started making my way back to the class room. When I got there I heard the girls stading at the door talking in hushed whisperes "Why is that girl in (L/n) chair?" One said "Oh my god do you think that's his girlfriend?" One gasped slightly "Who does she think she is?!" Another one snarled.

Confused I walked into the room and sure enough there sat a green eyed girl with strawberry blond locks in my chair chatting away with what looked like herself. Yama locked eyes with me silently pleading for help I nodded my head gently and looked at Tsukishima who had his headphones on doodling on a paper. I pulled on of my usual smiles and walked over to my desk "Hello, I'm (L/n) (F/g/n)-" I said getting cut off by the girl "Oh I know who you are, your the guy who every girl and even guys fall in love with but you never fall for anyone because your selfish and you break everyone's heart because you reject them" her voice was soft and gentle almost like how the morning light looks coming in through a window but the hideous words she spoke where as snarky as Tsukishima talking to the idiotic duo. I stood in front of the desk at a loss for words before smirking at this point everyone in the class was looking and whispering "You know it's rude to assume things about people without really knowing them, also this is my desk and class is about to start you should head back to your own class now" I spoke in a jaded attitude trying not to lose my cool. A small snicker was heard from the side and all eyes where on us even Tsukishima was paying attention now. The strawberry headed girl huffed standing up "I'll see you later Tsukki, Bye Yama!" She call throwing a happy expression back on before leaving the room.

I groaned and sat grumpily in my chair letting my limbs fall on each side of me "Thank you for saving us (N/n) that girl was a nightmare" Yamaguchi complained quietly I chuckled "No problem Yama" I said giving a closed eyed smile "Thanks" Tsukishima mumbled "No problem..." I said back I looked to the side, our eyes met for the first time since that morning. He quickly looked away from me to the window when the teacher walked in.

When class was over I walked out of class with my head down not really paying attention to anyone until I hit someone "You should really pay attention (L/n)-Kun" Hetana beamed up at me "Sorry Heta, just kinda lost in thought I suppose" I chuckled walking beside her Tsukishima and Yamaguchi walking behind us in the direction of the gym.

When we arrived we could hear a commotion coming from the gym. We walked into the gym confused and Yachi Hitoka was rapped up in the green eyed girls embrace "Lilith-Chan what are you doing here?" Hetana asked "I came to see Tsukki Tsukki practice" she squealed I unintentionally rolled my eyes ignoring her presence by walking passed her heading to Kiyoko. "Hello (L/n)-San" Kiyoko said tilting her head smile "Hi Kiyoko, how was your day" I smiled "It was good, Tanaka asked me out agin" she chuckled with a longing smile and small blush "And what did you say?" I inquire "No... I want to focus on my school and things for now but maybe one day" She smiled I looked from her to Tsukishima "But aren't you scared that.... maybe he'll lose interest and find someone else?" I asked looking at the girl Lilith. " No because if he truly loves me I think he'll wait until I'm ready" she spoke calmly patting me should almost as if she was was ready my thoughts "Okay that makes sense" I told her mustering up a bright smile.

"Hey everyone gathered together!" Daichi called motioning for everyone over. Kiyoko, Hitoka, and I walked over behind the group while Lilith and Hetana sat on the stage talking amongst themselves. "In two weeks we will have the Interhigh preliminaries" Daichi said with a proud smile "So until then we will work hard to surpass the other teams!" Sugawara happily butted in. Daichi, Suga, and Coach Ukai talked about the strategy they where most likely going to use during the Interhigh preliminaries. I looked at Tsukishima who looked bored standing off to the side with Yamaguchi.

After practice ended I walked to Hetana and Hitoka "Hey guys do yall want me to walk home with y'all tonight?" I asked a kind smile on my face "Sure we'd but love to but why ask now did something happen between You, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima?" Hetana asked "Ah not really just trying to change things up" I chuckled scratching the back of my neck "Mhm sure, c'mon we should hurry" Hitoka chimed in.

After we arrived at there house I noticed how empty it looked "Is your parents not here?" I quirked a brow "Haha mom works a lot... so she not really here much" Hitoka let out a dry chuckle while clenching her fist, Hetana put a comforting hand on her twins back "We should go in, Text me when you get home okay (N/n)?" Hetana asked directing her sister towards the door "Yea I'll text you, Heta... you two be safe okay... if you every need me text me" I told her with a brief smile I watched her shake her head walking inside.

When I made it home I pulled my phone out and texted Hetana.

(L/n):
Hey Heta, just wanted to let you know I made it home safe

Heta (Hetana):
Hey thanks for letting me know!
