Chapter Twenty-three

~Asahi's P.O.V~

I watched as date tech walked away, leaving me feeling relieved that they had left. "Okay everyone.... if you didn't know that was Date Tech the next school we'll be going up against... there known as the Iron wall. Now our team has had some history with them but I'm sure this year we will succeed and defeat them!" Daichi announced clapping his hands.

I seen a shorter figure walk up behind me that I knew to be (L/n) "Hey are you okay? You looked pretty freaked out" he spoke in a voice as soft as velvet "J-just nervous" I said sighing to the younger boy "That guy sure was tall and scary huh?" He asked attempting to pat my upper arm "Yea" I said thinking about how they blocked all of my spikes three months ago "Wanna know something Asahi Senpai?" The (E/c) eyed boy asked standing on his tip toes looking up at me "What?" I asked stressed "We have one of the best spikers and even if he was defeated once that doesn't mean anything because he's amazing and can break the Iron wall" he spoke happily with confidence reminding me of Nishinoya "Ya know Asahi, he's right... your alot tuffer than you think!" Noya called out from behind (L/n) giving me a thumbs up. I closed my eyes and smiled at the encouragement they gave you "You guys are right, Thank you!"

~(Y/n) P.O.V~

I walked away with a smile on my face looking around for the tall middle blocker. Once I finally locate him I see him smile his happy sweet innocent smile at Lilith apart of me was happy for him finally having someone around other than me and Yamaguchi while the other half of me wanted to gag telling her to get lost.

"Tsukki! You did great today and your technique looked better" I called to him smiling "So you where watching me? Hm?" He teased walking to where I was causing a light blush pulled onto my face, smirking back at him "Well of course I'm an assistant manager I need to watch so I can make sure your not slacking" I said calmly. Tsukishima crouched down eye level with me leaning his face in close speaking six simple words "Are you sure about that (L/n)" the smirk he had never once leaving.

After the encounter with Tsukishima I decided to keep my distance while continuesly zoning out. "Hey buddy? You doing okay?" Hetana's voice called out to me but I decided not to answer "(L/n) (F/g/n)" her voice was louder this time "I- He- Guhhhhhhh I messed up!!" I whined a little louder than expected making Hetana and her sister chuckle "With what?" Hitoka asked this time "Tsukki" I mumbled embarrassed there faces looked shock before that both laughed "Wait really?" Hetana asked in-between small giggles so I just gave her 'The look' showing her I was serious.

(Next Day)

I felt a yawn escape my lips as I walked to the stadium above the gym taking my seat in-between the twins. "Tired much, what did you do all night??" Hitoka asked "....Kenma wanted to game...." I quietly mumbled laying my head on Hetana shoulder "I'm taking a nap wake me after we win" I could here my friend sigh as she ran her fingers through my hair helping to lull me to sleep.

I woke up numerous times seeing our team fighting hard against Date Tech. Asahi was fighting harder than anyone during this match making me smile as a cuddle closer to Hetana's side. I finally woke up to see the match drawing closer to the end, Date Techs player was going head to head with Asahi until he pushed the ball back to our side. I held my breath watching as the ball was falling onto the floor until Nishinoya stuck his foot out digging the ball back up. Everything seemed in slow motion as the ball soared back into the air, Asahi running to be in place for Kageyama's next set ready to put an end to this match. I watched intensely as Kageyama set the ball to Asahi once again, seeing him jump up for the spike. The spike got shot into the air by the other teams block making it roll on the rim for a moment before falling into Date Tech's side of the court.

A loud cheer erupted from our side as our teammates hugged each other cheering our win. I looked to the to the twins seeing them smiling for ear to ear "They did it!" Yachi cheered standing up clapping her hands. "Tch they didn't even do anything impressive" Lilith spoke up reminding me that she was here. I rolled my eyes annoyed at her comment "Did you not see Nishinoya and Asahi Senpai out there they did amazing especially Noya digging the ball up with his foot!" I gushed smiling brightly. "Ugh if you like him so much then date him" Lilith snarled stading up walking towards the stairs "Oh and also the only person worth watching out there was Tsukishima" she said smirking walking down the stairs. I seen Hetana roll her eyes while Hitoka patted my shoulder saying "I'm sure she's not that bad of a person deep down" she let out an awkward chuckle rubbing the nape of her neck "Hitoka... you know for a fact she is an awful person just admit to yourself" His sister spoke with a playful smile "Okay your both right" Hitoka sighed.

While walking down the stairs I  yawned yet again still tired from staying up all night to game with Kenma. "Dude you seriously need to get some sleep it's not good to stay up super late... just to game" she shot me a serious glar as a 'Warning' I rolled my eye "You don't have to worry about me so much Heta~ I'm fine" I teased she rolled her eyes "Go find your boyfriend" she joked pushing me.
