Okami sprinted home, a glint of excitement in her eyes as she flung open the front door and rushed up the stairs to her room. She plopped her bag in the corner near the door and ran over to her desk, fishing a diary out of the draw and grabbing a pen. She began flipping the pages.

Okami walked through the school gates, heart racing in anticipation. She was attending her first school carnival. A sports carnival. She headed to their newly dubbed meeting spot under the large oak tree where she waited with Suki for Emika to arrive. Just a few minutes later the sound of heavy footsteps caught her attention. She turned her head in time to see Emika sprint towards her and pull her into a crushing hug, her signature sunshine smile upon her face. They walked to class together, nervous and excited. After their bitch of a teacher took the roll for Homeroom, the whole class as well as the rest of the school made their way to the large grassy field opposite the school where the festival was located.

A large burly teacher (that Okami didn't know) walked up in front of the classes, who were sitting in their class lines, and told them about the events that they could participate in. There were track races, hurdles, javelin, three-legged-race, high jump, long jump and a relay race. Soon the classes gathered in their individual year and class groups to begin the events. Emi and Okami wanted to participate in all of the events because they were super competitive and determined to win. Suki just settled for participating in the long-distance run. "At least there I can blend into the crowd," he'd said to them when they'd asked..

When the first of Emika and Okami's events came they were bouncing with excitement, very ready to win this thing. They lined up at the long jump pit, glaring daggers at the other competitors from their year group. Okami finally got to the front of the line and got into a sprinting stance. She almost cleared the whole pit. Although that was likely due to her wolf-like super strength, courtesy of her quirk. Quirks weren't allowed but Okami couldn't exactly unsubscribe from her physical strength. Unlike Emika who went full cheetah mode by accident and got herself disqualified from the event and almost the whole carnival for 1. quirk usage and 2. running headfirst into (and almost knocking over) Ms Hagu because she lost control of her quirk.

Okami and Emika's high jump, three-legged race and short distance sprint went pretty much the same way (minus the cheating, disqualification and incapacitating of a teacher). It's safe to say they were successful, leaving their class (with minimal help from their lazy-ass classmates) in second place out of the first years. It had all come down to the final event. Only one point between class C (their class) and class D, who were in the lead. Suki, only after some encouragement from Emika, hesitantly followed her and Okami over to the start line for the long-distance race. He looked around, feeling the itch of staring eyes piercing his skin.

The bang of the start gun startled Suki out of his daze with a flinch before he sprinted straight ahead at full speed with the rest of the crowd. Fueled by Okami and Emika's determination to put their class on top, he raced around the track, pulling ahead of the other competitors on the final lap and forgoing their original plan to remain unnoticed. Suki would do anything for his friends (despite however much he denies it). He clinched second by mere milliseconds, followed closely by Okami and Emika in fifth and sixth. The carnival was a huge success and Okami had a blast. Getting first place was also an added bonus. Emika squealed when the class was awarded a class party for their win. Chaos is certain in the near future.

Okami sprinted to class, her hair still a tangled mess and her socks mismatched. She failed to awaken to her alarm as she usually would (she had thrown the clock into a wall after it blared loudly, interrupting her amazing dream, and went back to sleep).
