Hizashi groaned as he walked out of the staff meeting. 'Why did they take so long, they're so boring!' he grumbled to himself as he made his way down the hall to his first class of the day (since his actual first class was cancelled because of the opening ceremony), 1B english. As he neared the end of the hallway he heard gasping breaths followed by a loud thud as something hit the floor. He rounded the corner to find a scrawny-looking kid lying immobile on the floor. "Kid! aRE YOU OK?!" Hizashi asked, his worry increasing at the realisation that the kid on the floor was one of his daughter's best friends. When he received no answer, he ran over to the student collapsed on the floor and lifted them into his arms.

He glanced up as he heard footsteps running towards him. A lanky blonde kid, a first year hero course student, he deduced, Rounded the corner toward him.

"Shit! What happened? Is Akiko okay?!" The blonde boy panicked.

"Calm down, kid. They'll be fine. Just passed out." Hizashi responded.

"Then why is there blood!?" Monoma pointed at the growing stain on Hizashi's sleeve beneath where the teen's head was resting against his shoulder.

" Crap!" Hizashi cursed under his breath. "I'll get them to recovery girl, you should go back to class,"

"No way! This is my fault, so I need to make sure they're okay. Please!"

"Alright fine, lets go,"

With Suki still in his arms, Hizashi rushed to Recovery Girl's office, Monoma following close behind.

Suki awoke to a dull throbbing in their skull and the nauseating stench of antiseptic making them want to hurl. Suki coughed away the urge to gag, alerting a loud blonde to their presence.

"AAAAAAAH, RECOVERY GIRL! THE KID'S AWAKE!"

"Shut up Yamada! They already have a mild concussion! Don't make it worse!" Recovery Girl scolded, whacking him on the back of the head with her cane.

"Owww! That hurt!" He pouted with an exaggerated cry.

"Well if you don't SHUT UP you will have more than a headache to worry about!" She hissed threateningly, holding up a VERY long needle.

Suki groaned again as they attempted to lift themself upright on the hospital bed they were laying on.

"Lie back down, please, dearie." Recovery Girl chided "pushing yourself will only do more harm than good." Suki ignored her, not wanting to feel vulnerable any longer, and looked around the small room, seeing the only other person there, a short green-haired boy, asleep on the bed next to theirs. Recovery Girl sighed in defeat. "How are you feeling?" She asked, a hint of guilt in her voice as she felt bad for making a ruckus.

"Not great, thanks to that loud goddamn cockatoo," Suki grumbled, tone raspy from disuse, but unfiltered toward their friend's dad nonetheless, as they gestured towards Hizashi, who was still pouting in a chair in the corner, rubbing the back of his head.

"Watch your language, child," She scolded.

"Sorry," Suki mumbled, looking down at their hands to avoid Recovery Girl's scrutinising gaze. ' Its gone!? Shit! ' they thought, noticing the missing bandanna no longer around their left wrist. Suki tugged down their jacket sleeves uncomfortably, eyes softening at the sight of Emika's friendship bracelet still on their other wrist (they never took the thing off. Not since Emika had gifted it to them in their second week of junior high).

"What- what time is it?" They asked, restless.

"Just after three," Hizashi responded, looking apologetic. "Sorry for yelling before," he added, Suki only now noticing that Recovery Girl had left the room.
