Okami jumped out of bed as soon as her alarm clock rang, almost smashing it to bits in her haste to turn it off. She ran straight to the bathroom to get ready, being done in a record fifteen minutes, shower and all.
What can she say? She was excited.
Okami shouldered her backpack (that she had excitedly packed the night before) and galloped down the stairs to join her parents for breakfast. "Morning Shouta! Morning Hizashi!" She called enthusiastically, seeing Shouta nursing a cup of coffee at the table while Hizashi prepared their breakfast.
"Good morning! Are you ready for your first day at UA?" Hizashi asked, amused at his daughter's good mood.
"Mhm! It's gonna be great, I can feel it," Okami dropped her bag by the front door before returning to the kitchen.
Aizawa passed her a cup of coffee as she entered. She gratefully took the mug, thanking him before taking a sip and taking a seat next to him. They waited in silence for a little while, with only the sounds of sipping coffee and boiling water to accompany them. Before long, Hizashi set a small bowl of rice in front of each of them and a plate of grilled fish and boiled vegetables in the centre.
After finishing breakfast, the three grabbed their things and got in the car.
One short and uneventful drive later, Hizashi drove into the staff parking lot of UA. Okami eagerly jumped out of the car, her parents not far behind as she walked with them to the teacher's lounge.
Aizawa pushed the door open, revealing the numerous teachers of UA high school. Some were sitting at a table in the centre, chattering amongst themselves while others were on lounge chairs reading or typing away at computers in the back. "Everyone, I'd like you to officially meet my adopted daughter, Okami," Hizashi said as Shouta nudged Okami into the room. As she walked in, Midnight gasped and grinned.
"OMG! She's literally so cute!!!" The R-rated Pro squealed. Okami instinctively took a step back, bumping into Hizashi who placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and glared playfully at Midnight. After Okami was introduced to the teachers, she was ushered out so that she could get to class early to meet some of her classmates.
As soon as Okami walked through the large doorway leading into the classroom, she noticed the blonde boy from the entrance exam and scowled. ' Why does HE have to be in the same class as me!?' She grumbled to herself. However, before she could pick a fight with the blonde pomeranian, she heard a familiar squeal and was bowled over from behind by an excited Emika, who had just arrived.
"OMG we are gonna have so much fun! I still can't believe we're in the same class, Oki!" She jumped up and extended a hand to Okami to pull her up. Okami greeted Emika in return, a large smile of her own gracing her features. Emika glanced just behind Okami, her eyes lighting up again. "OMG, Sero! I didn't know you were going to UA! HI!" She waved at the tape dispenser boy.
"Hey, Mei, Yamazawa!" He called, beckoning the two girls over to the left-middle of the room where he was sitting. Emika claimed the seat behind him and Okami sat behind her. Emika plopped down into her seat and the three blabbered on about random shit until the bell rang ( ignoring the arguing Pomeranian and glasses-wearing robot nearby ).
The first thing Okami noticed after the bell was Shouta laying on the floor in his signature yellow sleeping bag, peeking through the doorway. Okami had to focus all her self control into not bursting into laughter as he wriggled like a worm into the classroom before slowly getting up when he reached the teacher's desk. This strange stunt earned him multiple weird looks from the rest of the class.
Emika was, unfortunately, the first to react. "OKI! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOUR DAD WAS GONNA BE OUR TEACHER!!!" She yelled, scowling playfully at her. ' Well fuck...' Okami thought as the whole class whipped their heads around to stare in the same direction as Emika. All eyes were now locked on Okami. She saw her dad face-palm out of the corner of her eye before she turned to glare at Emika. "Hehe...oops," Emika chuckled apologetically as both her and Okami's faces flushed red in embarrassment as they sunk back into their chairs in an attempt to divert the attention from themselves.
