Oh So Tumblr

Luke knew there was no good in trying to get Calum to tell him what was going on but he could at least start the healing process. Calum was a stubborn little bastard, the only person he had been known to properly apologise to is Michael. Which was of course a flashing sign that Calum felt a little something extra for him than the other two boys.

It really did baffle Luke and Ashton that these two had never realised their feelings for each other. The whole school practically had a pool going on when they would end up together. They could walk around with I love you plastered on their foreheads in neon ink and they would still be completely oblivious to it.

Luke guided Calum down the four wide flights of stairs and through to the old fashioned farm styled kitchen. Everything was either made from cold tiles or solid oak.

Luke pushed open the large, barn styled door and gestured for Calum to step outside first. He did so but with arms crossed and a look on his face that could have even made Sherlock Holmes cry for him. Calum had walked about three metres ahead and was surrounded by the first few crisp leaves that had left their branches. He now had his leather on in order to protect him from the cool breeze, it stretched tightly over his hunched shoulders. His hands were shoved as deep as they could go into his skintight jeans.

Luke couldn't help but comment, 'You know, you look oh so tumblr right now.'

Luke saw Calum's shoulders shake with silent laughter, 'Ah but don't I always?'

'Of course you do mate, it's just more noticeable. The setting suits you.'

'Oh Christ, bad attempts at humour and compliments, I really am in for a serious conversation aren't I. Come on then what is it, have you become Hannibal's apprentice or are you satans son?'

'You know me so well,' Luke began making his way towards Calum's turned back. 'But I actually just shagged your sister.'

Calum turned and gave Luke his full blown grin, 'I think everyone knows she's rejected you one too many times for anyone to believe that. So what's really up.'

'I could ask you the same, what went down between you and Michael?'

'Just some stuff, it's not important.'

'Oh, come on. I know for a fact that you're pretty damn upset over the cold shoulder you're getting. But I also know that Mikey wouldn't be treating you like this over something stupid.'

Calum sighed deeply and awkwardly shuffled his feet, 'you really wanna know?'

'Well obviously.'

'I broke his heart.' With those words Calum began taking determined steps into the Forrest without looking back. He knew that Luke would let him go.

Ever since year seven this had been Calum's thinking place. He had no problem with making the trek across campus if it meant some time alone. Over the years Calum had grown proud of the reputation him and his boys had developed, and that was simply because it was everything his Father didn't want him to be.

Calum had been groomed from a young age to take over the successful family business but the summer before his eleventh birthday had been when he realised that it wasn't what he wanted. So he did everything he could go be the opposite of an model son. There were no hesitations in trading in his tailored suits for ripped skinnies and t-shirts ten sizes to big for him. Classical piano became a joke to him and he didn't give a second thought to picking up a bass and having some real laughs.

Despite the fact that he loved to push his Fathers limits, he still did not want to be completely disowned and wiped from the family lineage. Even the thought of his father knowing that he was head over heels for a boy was enough to put the fear of hell into him. And of all the boys it had to have been a boy that his father had grown fond of over the years. He had long since taken to calling him son and it was no surprise when Mr.Hood found the one and only Michael Clifford camping in his sons room for the odd weekend.

It would completely piss him off to know that Calum had fallen in love with another boy right under his nose.

Calum's panicked thoughts came to an abrupt pause as his foot became stuck under a thick tree root. He found himself falling to the ground with his leg at an awkward angle. There was a sickening click that echoed through the vacant green space and Calum found himself face first in the ground.

He loud out a deep groan at the thought of unhooking his foot with the burning pain that was currently shooting up his leg.

He hold onto his ankle and pulled his foot out from under the thick rope like root in one solid pull. 'Shit, shit, shit, shit. Fuck did that hurt.' He couldn't help muttering to himself as he sat up as much as he could on the damp mossy ground. He glared at his leg in disdain as he realised there was no way in hell that he would get back to the house without assistance.

He realised that he would have to call one of the boys to come help him out but just his fucking luck, he'd never brought any of them out this far before. He rose off the ground slightly in order to pull his phone from his back pocket and hoped to god that no harm had come to it.

He let out a brief sigh of relief to find that there was no fresh damage. His first choice was most definitely Luke, although he would make fun of Calum's blatant clumsiness at least he would get them both back alive and in one piece.

Luke - the dial tone started up, and it rang, and rang, and rang some more until it cut off.
Ashton - the stupid fuckers phone went straight to voicemail.

That left Calum with only one option and at this rate he really didn't fancy his chances of being rescued.
