Harry kept his head down until they reached the last shop of their visit: Ollivander's. Harry offered to go last, and everyone agreed as Gran led Neville through the door.

···

Not ten minutes later, Neville and Gran emerged from the store, Neville looking at his wand curiously, and getting used to putting it and taking it back out of it's holster. They joined the group and Neville showed Harry, Daphne and Fred his wand. Fred took out his own wand and they began to compare. Of course, neither said what their wand was made out of, considering that was incredibly personal and a weakness if you knew how to counter the elements of the wand.

After a few moments of the adults conversing, Lucius finally stepped forward and extended a hand towards Daphne, who graciously took it. They both entered the store and Harry could see the flashes and explosions of the different wands Daphne was trying through the windows.

After about fifteen minutes, a dim golden glow filled the windows before dying down slowly. A muffled conversation occurred, and then Daphne was skipping down the steps, wand and holster in hand.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Daphne asked, as she showed them her wand. It was quite long, and it had various vines flowing from the bottom and twisting around the dark shaft of the wand until they blended in, creating a sort of handle.

Luna walked up to her father and took his hand determindley. She pulled him up the steps and opened the door. Luna had always been very serious about schooling. When they all went to muggle school together, she was always second in their class, right under Harry. She had also read a lot of the books in Grimmauld Place with Harry. It wasn't a surprise to him when he saw the hard look on Luna's normally far-away looking face.

Through the window, Harry could see a few colorful flashes before a silver glow filled the store before dying down. Luna had taken barley five minutes to find her wand. She skipped out of the store and ran to her group, hugging all of her friends and showing off her wand.

"Come on, Harry." Sirius said, "You're last."

Harry nodded his head and placed Medusa on Luna's shoulders, minding the cat in her arms, and followed Sirius into Ollivander's shop.

"Ah, Mr. Potter, I've been expecting you."

"Mr. Ollivander." Sirius and Harry greeted.

Ollivander asked the same questions he had asked the first time and the measuring tape surrounded Harry as it measured the space between his eyes and hundreds of other things. As the  tape began to measure the space between his nostrils, Ollivander snapped his fingers and the measuring tape fell at Harry's feet in a heap.

Ollivander pulled out a box and extended it to Harry.

"Yew, Dragon Heartstring, ten inches." Harry waved the wand and the stack of papers on Ollivander's desk blew off. "No, not at all."

···

Twenty minutes later, Harry had tried half of the wands in the store, Sirius was on a chair, trying to hide his face from any explosions Harry might cause, and Ollivander was trying to walk around and not step on the wands that had fallen onto the floor after Harry had waved wand number fifty-four.

Harry was growing tired, he knew the only wand that he could ever really use was going to be the Elder Wand. The fake wand was currently in Albus Dumbledore's possession, and Mortem had the real one, so Harry wasn't sure how he was going to get it.

Harry flicked another wand and a new batch of wands toppled to the floor. Sirius yelped as one fell on his head, tip down. In between the chaos, Harry felt a ghostly touch graze his arm. He looked over and saw a wand carefully and slowly dropping to the floor, as if it was being placed there, right in front of Harry.
