When Things Finally Start to Happen

Severus turned to the rest of the house and announced, "Harrison Potter, Prince of Slytherin."

Harry mingled with the Slytherins for a while before Severus arrived and took Harry to the King, Queen and Princess. Yaxley, who was still struggling against the people who were trying to take him to the hospital wing, tried to protest, which just caused the double amount of slugs to come out of his mouth.

The Monarchs all sneered at Yaxley as he was being pulled away before turning to Harry and smiling.

"Thank goodness someone challenged him, we were seriously considering impeachment with him." the Princess said. Harry grinned at her.

"I'm Rhysand Julliard, King of Slytherin." the boy said. He was a tall, handsome, fifth year with messy blonde hair and brown eyes.

"Alexandra Kingsman, Queen of Slytherin." Alexandra was also quite tall, if only an inch or two shorter than her counterpart, and she too, was a fifth year. Her red hair was tied back in an elaborate braid which let her pearly white complexion, hazel eyes, and freckles stand out undisturbed. 

"Bianca Levisay, Princess of Slytherin." Bianca smiled. Bianca was a third year who had been elected at the end of last year once Alexandra had ascended to Queen, with tan skin and long brown hair that contrasted with her green eyes.

"As you havent been around long enough to know how things really work with the monarchy, Bianca will be teaching you the ropes, but as Gemma Farley has probably already told you, we are here to help the rest of the house, make political stances, and make important decisions. We sometimes work alongside Professor Snape to take care of our house or Ravenclaw to take schoolwide standings." Rhysand explained as they sat down on the special armchairs reserved for them.

Alexandra took off from where Rhysand had ended. "We meet up with our court once every two weeks and we have meetings with the Ravenclaw Royals once a month. Of course, the rest of the house don't really know much about what we actually do, but we do have quite a lot of work."

"And lastly, a few other things you should know. While in the common room or official events, such as meetings with other houses, the court, or Professor Snape, you must wear your crown. You must also sit with us at dinner and feasts. You will come to learn that we spend quite a lot of time together, we often grow close enough to consider each other as family, and the Ravenclaw Royals as our family friends, as we often spend time with them." Bianca explained.

They continued to talk quietly for a few minutes, getting to know each other and talk about a few other things before realizing that the common room had emptied out and it was now almost one in the morning.

"Oh dear, it's getting quite late; let's all go to bed." announced Alexandra, standing up. She walked over and gave each Bianca and Harry a kiss on the forehead before walking away and to the dorms. 

Harry remembered what Bianca had told him, 'we often grow close enough to consider each other as family'. He understood with the kiss, which had felt like nothing more than an older sister bidding her younger brother goodnight.

Rhys, as he had asked Harry to call him, gave the two of them warm, brotherly hugs and followed Alexandra to the King and Queen dorms. 

They had explained to Harry that the King and Queen dorms had a shared lounge behind the door, and. then two doors leading into their own separate dorms. The only people who could access the lounge were those who were wearing the crowns.

Bianca turned to him and gave him a tight hug, kissing his cheek. "Goodnight, Harry. Welcome to the family." She then glidded away and into her dorm room.
