A small cylindrical object was placed on a flat table in a room within a small building. It was a tube of coins. More explicitly, a tube of quarters. The person who set it there look around to three others who were looking at her with confusion.

???: I know this may look ridiculous, but just imagine this: There are ten dollars worth of quarters in here, right?

???: Uh...What are you getting at, Sprocket?

Sprocket: I'm saying: That you guys need to put in much more effort in your preparedness for this tournament. The competition is just under eight weeks away, and I will not allow anyone to defeat us.

???: What about the quarters?

Sprocket: Just...Gah! Will you shut up and let me talk!?

The inkling takes a step back and crosses his arms, ashamed.

Sprocket: Each quarter represents the five thousand dollars we will receive if we win this. Do the math: That's $200,000 dollars in total.

???: So you're saying that if each quarter here represents exactly five thousand dollars, that would be the winning total of $200,000?

Sprocket: Precisely.

???: What are you trying to say, Sprocket?

Sprocket: You three want to win this?

They all nodded.

Sprocket: And do you want fifty thousand dollars each?

They nodded again.

Sprocket: Then I say we win this. I have the list of competitors here with me, and if I'm correct, one of the teams is right here in the Mushroom Kingdom too.

???: Which one? There's six teams.

Sprocket: The one that's called Splatsquad.

???: Heh. Dumb name.

Sprocket: Right? ...It seems like they are a worthy challenge for us, so I say we do everything in our power to keep them from reaching their full potential.

???: How are we gonna do that?

Sprocket: Does the name, Meggy Spletzer ring a bell to you?

???: Her!? As in, THE Meggy Spletzer? The one who turned into a human and turned into a reject from Inkopolis? Yeah! I know her!

???: More like a failure and a loser. She couldn't even stay an Inkling? And we did? That's sad. That means she's weak.

???: It also means we have a major advantage with her. She's not as strong or as fast as any of us anymore.

Sprocket: Don't underestimate your enemies, Rigel and Fina. That's when we are weak and vulnerable.

Fina: Sorry, Sprocket. It's just easy to pick on humans.
