Part 7: Brawl At The Mall

Trident and Meggy entered the castle doors shortly after they had gotten down from the hill near it where his ship was. Meggy was in more of a hurry to get inside because she desperately needed to find Mario. She had the tulips haphazardly collected in its bouquet in her hands. Melony and Saiko saw her coming up to them and they turned, confused.

Melony: Hey, Meggy! What's with...the tulips?

Meggy: *urgently* Have any of you seen Mario?

Saiko: Uh...Yeah? Are you okay?

Meggy: I don't have time to talk! Where is he!?

Trident: I would answer her.

Melony: Um...he went upstairs last time I saw him.

Meggy: Thanks!

She runs off and Melony looks towards Trident with confusion.

Melony: What's her deal?

Trident: Oh...We had a bit of a moment and-

Melony: *gasp* Are you and Meggy a thing!?

Trident: What!? No! You didn't let me finish!

Saiko: Continue.

Trident: I was opening up to her about my past, and we think Mario came looking for her...and it's all just one big misunderstanding.

Saiko: So you think Mario came up, saw you and Meggy standing together, and he just stormed off? Maybe that's why he looked pissed when he came into the castle.

Melony: Why would he storm off if you two were just talking?

Trident: I'm not going into detail, but...I feel like we have some connection. And we just hugged it out, that's all.

Saiko: A connection, Huh?

Trident: Grr! Not that way!

Melony: This is kinda funny, but we should stop, Saiko.

Saiko: I got a feeling you're hiding something from us, Trident.

Trident: I'm not.

Saiko: People like you are normally good at saying that, but deep down, you know that you need to tell the truth sometime.

Trident: *rolls eyes*

Saiko: Hey! Don't roll your eyes at me!

Trident: Screw this.

He draws his weapon, snaps it out, and lights it up into flames, making Saiko and Melony jump back. Trident's eyes turn neon blue. His voice sounded deeper and more menacing.

Trident: Is this proof enough!?

Saiko: Aww, he's getting defensive.

Melony: Uh...Saiko?

Saiko: It's cute. He thinks his little toy can hurt us. Oh wait...He won't.

Melony: Saiko. Stop.

Melony looked to Trident and saw that the flames on the weapon were growing. Whatever was going through his mind was fueling his rage.

Saiko: Just wait, he's gonna just let the flames die off and walk out of-

His arm lights up a soft orange and he throws with all his might between the girls. The flames ended up singeing Melony's hoodie a bit. The weapon planted itself into the wall with a loud bang. The flames died off shortly after. Saiko was still as a rock. The weapon had come inches from her arm. Her and Melony were only a foot apart, and he threw that accurately?
